As close to perfection as you can get..., March 26, 2007
"Sky Is Open" is Donna De Lory's most accessible and mind-boggling work in years! After the mantra of "The Lover and Beloved" (as well a DJ/remix album) Donna returns to her own work. The world music influence is still strong, but a Donna also brings a quiet sense of folk into this album. Some of the tracks have seen release on previous albums of Donna's, but each has been reworked for "Sky Is Open". Check out "One Day", the gorgeous "Maybe", "Where Are You Know", the demanding "Glow", and the albums most stunning track "In The Sun". A definate treat.
