4.0 out of 5 stars Can love motivate someone to move to another location?, September 6, 2011

This review is from: The Sky of Peleg (Paperback)
Sky of Peleg is sincere work of fantasy writing that covers the matters of the heart, the consciousness, and the soul. In a sense, the retro-fitted saga speaks of the human condition, of love, of adventure, and of reformations. The author was a young man in his early twenties when this book was created (author's first book ever). As someone who isn't a man, reading this book gave me a figurative view of a young man's spiritual life via a fictitional imaginative story. This book is supposed to be the beginning of a series of fantasy novels, perhaps set up like Nordic tales in the content that detailed heroic deeds of the protagonist, which is catered to young male adults.

Although Sky of Peleg could use more editing, it still is good gift for young boys in their teens; and the typos may be use to train the eye to catch minor grammatical mistakes. Would not be listed with Christian Bookstore titles, because it questions the dogmatic ways of religious organizations. A good read for the more progressive Christians, those in love with someone somewhere far-far away, the Bubble Boy, and those engaged in a pen-pal based relationship.

I was surprised how good this book was. It's not just a very good first novel it's a very good novel period and I am eagerly awaiting the next 2 books in the trilogy. Specifics... the main character "Sky" has this pretty amazing gift to be able to do battle within another person's soul. So you're thinking to yourself "big deal so what?" I'll tell you what, it's not the over done mental battle thing, it's not minds that are fighting it's souls and to understand the difference you're just going to have to read the book. This book has utterly orignal content, and the story is told well. There is the matter of a _few_ typos, but all things considered that's not hard to overlook. Buy the book trust me you'll enjoy it.
