Fine debut
Unlike the previous reviewer, I was not expecting matt pond part 2 from this disc, so I was not set up for a disappointment. Apparently, there are some former mppa members in Audible, but it doesn't seem like they aspire to mimic their former band. Audible has made a lovely, haunting record with a sound quite their own. Admittedly, not as instantly catchy as mp, but this...

don't expect matt pond PA out of this band. while they have similar acoustic guitar sounds, they just don't compare. matt pond has an amazing voice and writes such beautiful songs that can never be recreated without him. i've listened to the album over and over again, and just can't get into it. there's maybe two songs worth listening to. that's it. this is probably...

don't be disappointed, May 2, 2005

as much as i like matt pond pa, why would you want something that sounds exactly like something else? no, this is not matt pond pa minus matt pond, this is something incredibly cute with great pop sensibility that you should check out if you like falsetto vocals, nice hooks, and music to bop your head to. my personal favorite is "Five Pirates." i saw them live and i couldn't help but sway and feel cute. this music makes you feel cute.
