There are three reasons why I think the Skypro tops any of the others I have used or read about:

1. It uses the power of the ipad/iphone to sychronize the clubface with the unit. There is no manual sighting/guessing where the club face is as with the others. (Initially, it took a few times to get comfortable using a full-sized ipad to synchronize the clubface (using an iphone should be easier) but it wasn't that big a hassle nor extremely time consuming. Yes, it might misidentify the iron because there is no standardization of lofts among club manufacturers. You can tell it what number the maker calls it but that has no significance since it has actually determined what the real loft is)

2. The developers understood that there are certain parameters (such as impact face angle, where the ball struck the clubface, ball speed, carry distance et al.) that would only be guesses and not even educated ones. So, they didn't give you the pretend info that many of the others do. (The info it gives you maps well with Jim Mclean's 8-step golf swing (steps 2, 4, 5, 6) and it is similar, in that there are ranges of success for most of the measurements. You don't have to swing like some perfect robot but if you exceed the outer bounds you probably will have lots of difficulty hitting a quality shot. It also gives you the acceleration curve, so you can see if you are developing your maximum speed just before impact. or losing power by having it occur earlier in the downswing)

3. Their product is focussed on helping you improve your swing and not overwhelming you with useless information simply because some programmer thought of it. (The 'groove' mode, as they call it, allows you to work on a particular aspect of your swing in one of three increasingly stringent levels of success.

If like me you go down to the range and hit 100 balls then go home and feel as if you haven't learnt anything then I would recommend the sky pro. It fixes to the club very securely with no movement after the swing. Out of the 100 balls I hit the Sky pro missed only 6 swings which is what I was expecting. The data is very close to what I got when on trackman. The best bit though is the 3d image you get of your swing and I now know the 2 issues that I have with my swing, shaft lean at impact is too far forward and my hands are higher at impact than at address. All in all a great purchase and I would recommend it 👍

I purchased my SkyPro several months ago and I have been very surprised at the information provided and the results that I have seen in my improved swing. I am hitting the ball purer and straighter than I have ever hit it before. I am now hitting more fairways and greens in regulation and this is resulting in more pars and fewer double bogeys.

Using the SkyPro I discovered that I had a casting issue that was causing off center hits and the ball to not end up where I intended it to go. After reviewing several swings and recognizing the issue I needed a fix and that was done through my pro. I used the SkyPro during my lesson with my pro and I have saved those swings and made one my favorite that I use to compare to when I am practicing on my own now.

I have used the groove session to help with back swing length, shaft lean at address and impact. There are more sessions I will use when I start back practicing for Spring Golf.

I am looking forward to the Putting part of the application that I have heard them talk about also. That is the next part of my game that I cant wait to improve on.

I would recommend this swing analyzer to the golfer in your family. I am actually purchasing one for my Dad for Christmas.

I was fairly lost as with most people are when you first attached this to the club and pair it with your device. Yes, you get a lot of good data but it is hard to figure out exactly how to use it to your advantage. The way I use it now, is to go to the driving range and keep swinging until I start hitting well. Save those swings and then look at the data. Then, when I am at home I use this along with my Optishot and "groove" to the swings that I saved. I believe it has helped but I really need to use it more. There are only a couple videos on youtube that explain how to use it better, some are from "TrueFitGolf" so search that and check it out. Overall, it lost a star because of no Android support. I have to use my iPad and it is a bit awkward trying to pair it with the device. As far as connectivity, haven't had too many issues.

I received the SkyPro Swing Analyzer for Christmas 12/25/14. I hit over 1,000 putts, not to reach a milestone, but because I was engrossed in figuring the putting features out. I live in the Northeast and it's too cold to go outside and whack balls right now. That, and my family has had a nasty bout with the flu. Merry Christmas us!

Yes and yes for those wondering, did I calibrate, re-calibrate, re-position the sensor, etc. Yes. I even tried the app on two separate iPhones, one with a case on, the other without.

Anyway, the device was giving me readings of 3 to 4 degrees (*) open at impact relative to address. I knew I tend to have an open face at impact because I recently did an hour and a half SAM Putting lab Fitting and Analysis which illustrated that ad nausea. The fact that the Skypro was telling me 3-4* open seemed to be in error as SAM was telling me .7*. I also know from the SAM experience, that I align on average 3* left of the hole and my path is inside out w/ a slightly open face to compensate. So, naturally I wanted to do something about it without having to rent the SAM Lab at $50/hr to use their "Aim Training" feature.

I was convinced SKYPRO was giving me incorrect readings but when I would purposely try to impact with a closed face, it would show the reading as closed. This obviously bothered me - a lot. I drew a chalk line on my putting green and was hitting putts down the line - Skypro was telling me 3-4* open. How could that be? Remember it's relative to address. So what I discovered that as much as I was convinced my putter was square to the chalk line at address, I was actually aligned closed or to the left of the center of the cup from 4 feet. I think the SAM data was taken at 12 feet.
