5.0 out of 5 stars Good Solid Clock
I am very happy with this device and would highly recommend it to others.

I've had this clock for nearly a year now and it has operated flawlessly for me. The thing I like about this solid, rich looking clock is the LCD is very visible, with great contrast, over a wide viewing angle - much more than other such clocks I have owned. The remote temperature...

1.0 out of 5 stars Great When New, Unable to Work after two months
We recieved this as a gift and it worked great for two months. Then it quit displaying the outside temperature. I searched the net and visited the companies website and tried all the suggestions to get it to work (reseting with new batteries, making sure batteries were out for a specific amount of time, etc.), with no luck. I contacted the company and they recommended I...

The remote temperature sensor is solid, pretty accurate, and with lithium battery it lasts about six months which is very good. It is easy to sync to the remote sensor and has not lost sync for me ever (I cannot say that for others I have tried).

The clock is really a good looking item.It is hanging on the wall, and we look at it continually for the inside and outside temperatures. The delivery was prompt.

1.0 out of 5 stars Great When New, Unable to Work after two months, April 10, 2011
This review is from: SkyScan (88901) Atomic Clock with Outdoor Temperature/Phases of the Moon
We recieved this as a gift and it worked great for two months. Then it quit displaying the outside temperature. I searched the net and visited the companies website and tried all the suggestions to get it to work (reseting with new batteries, making sure batteries were out for a specific amount of time, etc.), with no luck. I contacted the company and they recommended I return the outside sensor. I returned the outside sensor for a warranty replacement. When I recieved the new sensor, I could not get the unit to display the outside temperature. This was after trying different resets (per their directions many times and many times different ways), each time with new batteries. After experimenting for a week with different lengths of battery removal, I gave up. Its a a shame because both my wife and I like the big display and information. Unfortunately, we need the outside temperature sensor to work, so in the trash it goes....

5.0 out of 5 stars Happy Dad, April 3, 2011

We bought this thermometer for my dad for Christmas. Actually, we bought several others that were not what he wanted and finally came across this thermometer. He loves the large numbers and the time. It seems to be very accurate and he uses it constantly. :)

I have had clock for 6 months. It was hard to set up. Took many attempts of removing batteries and starting from scratch. Now it did not adjust for DST and I don't know how to set it without starting all over again. My old clock worked flawlessly!

This is the second one we have had...had the first one about five years before my husband dropped the sensor..we tried other clocks similar to this one but they were too small..you can see this one from across the room and further..it is accurate and priced right.

2.0 out of 5 stars No longer made, transmitter no longer available., December 29, 2011
This review is from: SkyScan (88901) Atomic Clock with Outdoor Temperature/Phases of the Moon
This review is for the Skyscan Model 86603 with outdoor temperature/phases of the moon.

Got this used, the clock works fine takes 2 AA batteries does not run well on rechargables (display is a bit dim but functions okay). Outoor transmitter which takes 2 AA batteries is weak and is probably at the end of its life.

SkyScan has replacements of several of the wireless outdoor sensors for $12.50 shipped, but not this model.

This link lists models not covered including the 86603.

Looks as if I am unable to post references to what I am talking about. Google Skyscan's home page if you need to find those links. Thanks

This is a cool clock which registers inside and outside temps along with phases of the moon. We really enjoy the info we receive from it as well as the date and time. We love it!

5.0 out of 5 stars No better Clock at any price!, August 2, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: SkyScan (88901) Atomic Clock with Outdoor Temperature/Phases of the Moon
I have two of these clocks and one is over a year old. Weather info is very accurate if you place the outdoor probe in a good place and batteries last an extremely long time. Highly recommend this Clock!
