This review is from: 2 Skydive Skydiving Goggles Reduced Glare Blue With Great peripheral vision design Lenses are shatterproof polycarbonate, 100% UV protection, and are ANTI-FOG coated (Misc.)
The first time I skydived I used the goggles that were provided me, and that sucked! The goggles didn't stay in place, and fogged during the free fall. Before skydiving again, I've bought these goggles; I split the order with a friend, so it turned out quite cheap. These goggles stayed in place all the way with a clear view. I loved them and recommend them to anyone!
Notice, I'm not an expert, I just jumped twice.

I bought these to go skydiving. Once. They worked just fine. They fogged up a bit on the plane on the way up to 14K but cleared up quickly. Once I was out the door I did not even notice I was wearing them until I was back on the ground. Vis was great, comfortable fit, and I was not squinting from any sun / glare. The only thing is that the photo guy said "These are mirrored on the outside. Your friends wont be able to see the look of fear in your eyes if you wear these." I said that it was just fine that way. :) The video turned out great, and I liked the look of the blue mirrored goggles. I have no intention of jumping again, and these held up just fine for the one time I used them. (The second pair was for a friend that I went with.)

A little to narrow,

Bought this 2-pack and a 3-pack with different colored lenses.
They reduce clarity of vision a bit, but no more so than other cheap goggles. My main complaint with them is that they are a little too narrow top-to-bottom to fit comfortably over my eyes without sliding up or down. I haven't jumped yet with them on, but have very low confidence that they will stay put in 120 mph wind when they won't stay put on the ground. Also, the buckle for the strap is right at my ear -- would it have killed them to make the strap a few inches longer so that it would be around back and not cutting into people's ears? Won't be buying any more of this style and will think twice about buying this brand. |
