skyfire,
This review is from: Moonbear's Skyfire (Moonbear Books) (Paperback)
The book Skyfire was a very good children's book to read. The book is considered to be a good childeren's book because it is an interesting story for little childeren. It let's them explore their imagination. Skyfire is also a very good childeren's book because it uses words that little kids will understand. When I was younger I loved this book, I would read Skyfire over and over again. As a little kid, I always wondered if I could put out a rainbow by throwing water on it....

We haven't read this book in a while but my 20 month old daughter saw a picture of herself reading it and has been asking about it since. We can't find it anywhere, so we have to buy another copy! It's a lovely book and must have for anyone's library.

Skyfire by: Frank Asch,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Moonbear's Skyfire (Moonbear Books) (Paperback)
"One day bear looked out his window and saw a rainbow. He had never seen a rainbow before." Bear Tried to convince his friend little bird that the sky was on fire but little bird knew it was just a rainbow. So. the two friends went on an adventure to find "a pot of gold, and to put the fire out." This book is an awsome way to teach kids about the myth of the "Pot of gold at the end of the rainbow," and its a good way to have fun with two diffrent voices it's a wonderful story however I feel that the Author who is also the illistrater could have put a little more detail into the pictures but the less detail did not take away from the story.

Year after year it is my students favorite book. It is a magical way to teach children about how rainbows are formed and still engage their imagination.

Frank Asch's "Skyfire" is adorable. My 2 1/2 year old son loves it! My mom actually still had it from when me and my siblings were young and we just recently found it. Such a cute, short story with beautiful, simple illustrations. Perfect for toddlers! A definite classic must have for any toddler library! I'm going to look into getting some other "Moonbear" books for my son because we just love this one so much!

Moonbears Skyfire,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Moonbear's Skyfire (Moonbear Books) (Paperback)
In this book Bear looks out his window and sees a rainbow. Bear has never seen a rainbow before and he thought that the sky was on fire. His friend Little Bird came by and told Bear that it was a rainbow and that there was a pot of gold! Well Bear thinks that the sky is still on fire. Bear and Little Bird go off and try to find the end of the rainbow. This book basically teaches the lesson that everyone has an imagination and its up to you the way u want to use it. The age level for this book is 3-8. I would recommend this book to very little kids because it is a short story and it tells kids basically what a rainbow really is. |
