5.0 out of 5 stars LOVE it! April 10, 2012
This case was a gift from a friend of mine. It is the only carrying case out there that will hold all 32 Skylanders. It also has a pocket to hold the "Portal of Power" if need be. The sides of the case unzip & the top unfolds to reveal a place mat with each of the elemental powers on it. Skylanders of that elemental power can be placed on the mat for easy play. It's compact & fits on the top shelf of my closet & I don't have to worry about digging through a pile of figurines to find a specific character. Perfect item! I would definitely recommend this product!

4.0 out of 5 stars Fits 32 Skylanders as advertised, no more. May 7, 2012

Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
Hands down the best case to date. Has a slot for the portal and a small pocket for the cards and stickers that come with the skylanders and adventure packs. To date I have 31 skylanders (awaiting wham-shell) and have all 4 adventure packs. Put those in the case with the portal and game disk w/case, it is really tight. For those who collect legendarys or have duplicates, this could be a problem. For me this is not a problem. After getting wham-shell, I'm done. I am dropping this product 1 star because they could of added 25% more room without adding much to the "footprint" or cost. I suppose by removing the portal you could fit a few more landers, but that defeats the idea of keeping everything in one place. Space limitations aside, great product. The bottom of the case is stiff to keep the shape. Top and sides are very flexible to allow things to fit easy and won't dent or scratch like a hard case. The zippers that close the case are large and work smoothly. The clear plastic outer shell (including bottom) provides good protection. I wouldn't put it in the bathtub, yet I wouldn't worry if I got caught in the rain with it. Has a small footprint (14"W x 8"D x 7"H). Adjustable/removable shoulder strap. Build quality A+ for $30.

UPDATE 1/6/14- Now that we have collected all 16 giants, I really like this bag. They fit well into our second bag with or without portal. This way we can keep series 1 skylanders separate from series 2 (giants). It would have been nice if they made this bag with more than one style of outside artwork making marking one of the bags unnecessary. You may want to shop around. I have seen these bags sell for under $20 new.

3.0 out of 5 stars Careful it's more of a travelling case June 9, 2012
This case is designed for the kids who want to take their skylanders over to their friends' houses. If you want a storage case that will store ALL your skylanders stuff AND protect them, this isn't really the product to go for. First, even though it advertises it holds 32 skylanders, I only have 26 and it's barely holding them. If you have more than about 12 skylanders, you'll find you have to jam them in together and put them on top of each other.

Activision may eventually release a collector's case that has a compartment for each and every skylanders game piece. Until then, I've found some people have managed to make their own using the Stanley Sortmaster Junior tool organizer (buying about three of them for the same price as this bag) and using the stickers which came with their characters to decorate it.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Peace Treaty in the Coffee-Table Wars June 12, 2012
Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
Skylanders is a fantastic game, but in our household there was one huge problem...as time goes by, you find yourself with more and more Skylanders. As my daughter played the game, she needed to spread her Skylanders out, so she could group the Fire types here, the Tech types there, etc. My wife was losing her mind at all the little plastic creatures running amok on her table--as if all those remotes weren't bad enough! After a thorough lecture session in which my daughter sheepishly took to crowding her Skylanders around the portal piece, I came across this great solution.

The Skylanders Adventure Case is awesome for many reasons. First, the entire top surface unzips and rolls out as a mat. The mat has icons for each of the Skylander types, so that means that when my daughter is ready to play, she puts the bag on the floor, rolls out the mat, and groups her creatures how she needs them. Second, the case doesn't try to set up separate compartments for each Skylander, or give you a bunch of velcro pieces to build your own compartments: that would get complicated and cumbersome, given the many different sizes and shapes of each Skylander. Instead, it's just split down the middle, putting some padding between your two rows of Skylanders (and probably leaving a little more room in the bargain).

Last, and most useful in the peacekeeping process, the case can also contain the Skylanders Power Portal, that round base that goes on the coffee table when you're ready to play. It slips vertically into a pouch on one side of the case. The next thing you know, you've got everything bundled up nicely when playtime is over and it can all be stowed away out of sight until the next time.

Our grandson has the skylander game and all 32 charactors. He was quite surprised when we got him the case to put the docking station and the skylanders in. When he finishes playing he puts them all back in the case. Great investment for him.

I ordered the case originally when it was $24 and change from Amazon via Activision and low and behold, they ran out of stock and "couldn't get more." I continued to look for the case and low and behold, the day after receiving the email that my order would be cancelled because Amazon could not get the product from Activision, there it was; only now the price jumped up to well over $40. Because we were closing in on having all 32 skylander's and I was tired of having my son lug them all, the portal, and the DVD (game) back and forth to mine and his father's home, I splurged. I thought because it was a padded "case," the figures and other paranphenalia would be better protected. Ha! We currently have 29 skylander's, the DVD (game), and the portal; they barely fit. Not to mention, the so-called "case" does not zip all the way around. It zips on the sides, however the front "flap" is just that and it just about meets up with the velcro. For close to $50, I would think this "case" would have been designed to actually hold all of the 32 skylander's (at least) somewhat neatly, be made of a stronger material, and/or zip all the way around.
