Skylanders Spyro's Adventure: Stump Smash

Stump Smash is a tree (or an ent, if you will) with two giant tree stumps as hands, in which he puts to good use for smashing enemies. His basic attack just alternate smashes with his hands, but does quite a bit of damage. His second attack spews out rolling acorns (that can bounce off walls) which does low damage but can slow down any enemy it hits, which is useful since Stump Smash isn't the fastest Skylanders. Stump Smash also seems to have the highest amount of health compared to any other Skylanders, thus, making him great for players who aren't as careful and just likes to run in and destroy things.

And for those who are wondering about his element: it's life. This means that he covers an element that is NOT a part of the starter pack (which only has Tech (Trigger Happy), Magic (Spyro), and Water (Gill Grunt)).

Stump Smash is a Life-type Skylander. His initial attacks are his stumpfist combo (time it just right to get a REALLY painful third hit, which deals double the normal smashes), and he can spit out spinning acorns, which, though deal low damage, compensate by slowing enemies down. This ability comes in handy since Stump Smash isn't the fastest Skylander, off the bat.

One downside, however, to his attacks side is because he's actually pretty big, his stumpfists actually have a TEENY tiny bit of reach, which makes him vulnerable is an enemy is right in his face. This can be resolved when you upgrade him with a Meganut attack (you can make Stump Smash roll this big, spiky nut-thing, acting like an attack ball).

Now, onto his speed, even THAT can be fixed if you choose the Smash-N-Bash path, and give him Stumpfist Combos (His Stumpfist Charge makes him much faster, and it's a deadly combo to begin with).

I wish I could give him 4 1/2 stars, because he's not good enough for all five, but he's not bad plain enough for four. Play him right, and you'll have a high-HP, bashing, smashing tank!

Every seller here is price gouging you. Your better off waiting until the initial popularity dies down and buying them for the original $7.97 price at wal-mart and various other places like Best buy or Target. Even Toys R' Us is only $9.99 every one of these retailers are rip off artists looking to steal your money. Even Drill Sergeant and Whirlwind are going to be released at the end of this month as part of a 3 pack in the states so they are no longer exclusive. So don't pay these prices. Boycott Amazon's price gouging and just be patient.

Well, Stump Smash is my children's favorite character. We bought him after christmas for 7.97 at Wal-Mart. He is a tough old tree for certain. His smash attacks and acorn shot is pretty impressive and his hammers even grow when upgraded. A bit slow for my taste but very very powerful. A must have in my opinion.

Stump Smash is a great addition to your Skylander crew only because 1. they havent released other life figures other than Stealth Elf who is hard to find and 2. you need a life element to access more than you would think. He is pretty slow when it comes to walking around but he makes up for it with his strength and upgrades.

Stump Smash is one of my strongest skylanders! He has 90 attack 70 defense 20 speed and 40 luck and a ton of health! Stump Smashes A button attack on the Xbox is he smashes a foe with his stump arms his X button attack is spits out an acorn that paralyzes foes. And his special attack witch is the B button Stump Smash spits out a giant spike ball that you can roll into foes to do damage and it deflects attacks if you are behind it. Stump Smash is very accurate in battle by using combos and using each attack equally and not backing out. If you back out in the middle of combat you will take a lot of damage because Stump Smash is very slow so I recommend you give him a hat that boost your speed. If you play online or on battle mode Stump Smash is the skylander to use!

Stump Smash is not my favorite Skylanders character. He is kind of slow and you have to get pretty close to attack.

My 10 year old son loves the skylanders game. My only issues with it is the total cost. The initial game was pricey, and then there are all these additional characters and adventure packs to purchase. In order to access all parts of the game, you have to get a character from every element, and some chapters can only be done if you bought the expansion pack. Before this fad is done, I think we will have paid out over $300! But my son loves the game and plays it as much as we allow him too. I was a little dismayed at how quickly he beat the whole game, but he keeps going back and redoing adventures to level up his characters, so it seems like this game will hold his interest for some time to come. Stump Smash himself we got to access things with life portals. The character is awesome in my son's opinion, and he is very happy with the character's powers and abilities.

I have already reviewed this item. It was purchased for my nephews I have never played it. They say they love it.

I ordered the Skylander character Stump Smash and was thoroughly delighted when it was shipped out immediately that same day!! Also I received the figurine in the original packaging, unopened and completely as promised!! I appreciate real sellers and am always skeptical when ordering online. I was impressed and ecstatic at the service and product I received!! And I am glad to report that my son, for whom I bought this character for, managed to contain his excitement until Stump Smash arrived and has since completed the Skylander's game already!! The only chapters he has left to complete are the last 4 chapters that can only be encountered when a figure of a place or object is placed on the portal!! Unfortunately I have not been able to purchase all the extras as of yet, but his birthday is next month!! Thank you again for being an honest and prompt seller!! We greatly appreciate you!!

When I first ordered stump smash he was 7.99 Wait for the price to go down and then buy him. He is a great character does a lot of damage and is very fun. He is also very slow so you will want to do some speed and armor heroic challenges. He not only is great but with him you can open the life gates in stone town,troll warehouse, stormy strounghold, quiksilver vault, and any others I missed. I love the game . It the best wii game ever! I do recomend you buy stump smash.
