Product Description

Long Range Water Sensor

Product Description

Detect water overflow in multiple areas around your home using a single receiver by connecting additional Skylink Long Range Household Alert Water Sensors. Sensors detect water overflow, water leakage, or rising water, such as the water level of your bathtub. Designed for larger homes, the sensor's long range functionality allows it to signal the receiver (sold separately) from long distances (downstairs garage sensor to upstairs bedroom receiver, for example). When water is detected by the sensor, the receiver alerts you by flashing and either beeping or sounding the alarm. Target the Areas Most Prone to Leaks: Install the water sensor near any appliance connected to plumbing. Water heaters are particularly vulnerable to leaks as they age. Nearly 8 million homeowners replace failing water heaters annually. Additional locations to install the sensor include: Bathroom: toilets, bathtubs, showers. Kitchen: dishwashers, refrigerators, icemakers. Washing Machines, Water Heaters, Humidifiers, Sinks, Spigots. FEATURES: Easy to set up. Both audio and visual indicators. Operating range up to 800 feet. Supervised Sensor: monitors the sensor and its battery condition. Suitable for your sump, washing-machine, hot water heater, bathtub, etc. CONTENTS: Water sensor, Battery, Mounting accessories. NOTE: Requires the Skylink Household Alert Long Range Receiver HA-434RL (sold separately).

Some sensors that could be programmed before don't work the next time.

Manufacturer should be embarrassed to produce such a piece of junk.

Have three story house with basement. Had a different water alarm, it went off and I never heard it. Got this one due to the wireless. Have one sensor at the hvac, water heater, laundry, and spa. Put the main unit in my kitchen. I labeled the unit what 1,2,3,4 corresponded to. Couple weeks ago my steam humidifier had a problem and the alarm went off.slightest bit of water set it off. I heard it loud and clear. Disaster avoided. Very easy to configure. For my spa I was able to place the sensor under the spa and run the cable to a hall closet where I have an access door. That way I can change batteries if ever needed easily. Well made. Lots of 2 sided sticky pads, little plastic plates and screws to attach. I cleaned surfaces with rubbing alcohol before applying sticky pads. They are NOT coming off! Very happy with this week made product.

This is loud, it can be heard outside of my house at least 100 feet away. I was helping a friend set one up and when I decided to ignore the set up directions, I called tech support and they walked me through it quickly.

The programing seemed a little difficult when using this as a second sensor. It finally accepted it, seems to work well

Bought this unit as a second sensor to put into my Well tank (2500 Gal). I am always afraid the shut of valve in the tank will not work and then the pump will pump for ever and overfill the water tank and wastes water. This unit is the perfect solution to my worries. It works.... tested it several times. You need the Skylink WA-434RTL Long Range Water Alert unit to make everything work. Had a little bit a problem to connect the receiver and the sensors, but on the end all works. Here is the review about the Skylink WA-434RTL Long Range Water Alert. So you know all the facts: I was excited to find the Skylink WA- 434RTL. It is really a long range. Not 800 feet but better than most. The technical support is not that helpful. Had the same problem like many others. Have the sensors about 200' away from the receiver. First the unit blinked on both, One and Two. Technical help told me to change the sensors to the next channels on the receiver. The same thing was happening. It could not been the batteries (brand new and tested). It was the range.... I extended the antenna of the receiver 11/2 feet and mounted the wire on the wall for best reception. In the water house building I moved the sensor in the rafters so high I can go, for best reception, then I extend the sensor wires with a telephone wire to the area where it has to sense the leak (approx.) 10 feet. Now it works great. 2 weeks now gone by and the green light is only on. I tested the units several times. It works great. Very sensitive to water. I still have to see how long the batteries in the sensors last. I think it is a great unit, when you set it up right.

First high water kit failed out of the box. The replacement programmed ok and ran for 2 years (no alerts) then showed low battery. I replaced the sensor battery and reprogrammed. Several times. Can't get it to work anymore. Maybe I'll use the sensor lead to build a new system using an Arduino or Raspberry Pi.

I have garage door sensor, door sensor, flood sensor and motion sensor. All sensors give frequent false alarms, frequent not signaling when should and frequent loss of signal even for sensor that is like 6 feet away. It is total trash. Manufacturer should be embarrassed to produce such a piece of junk.

These are just plain junk...once set to the MASTER device, they do not register movement, even on the HIGH setting.

Works great. I added it to our wireless driveway sensor package and put it inside our heat pump to detect when the condensate drain becomes plugged up. It would be nice if the different sensors had different sounding alarms, but that's minor. You can tell which alarm is going off by looking at the receiver lights.
