If you've never heard of Godheadsilo, well then you probably wouldn't be reading this. So you can relate when I say that listening to this album is like having a motorcross run bacwards through your lower intestines...stopping only for a break to chew on the back of your frontal cortex. Equal parts gut and head, that is. Be warned, if you've never owned a bmx bike, you'll only be halfway there with these guys....they have a way of twisting the handlebars at the right moment...screaming off through the grimy territory that is the punk side of Olympia. And yes, there are only two of them, not forty. A Drummer (a gross understatement) and a bassist... (boom!)....what more do you need really?

This is a good album over all but it's a little cleaner than the Scientific Supercake LP and not as heavy as Share the Fantasy. There seems to be a bit more experimentation, if you want to call it that, or maybe it's more straightforward in terms of songwriting. I wouldn't label anything a hit but the little collabo with one Calvin Johnson on the title track has some potential mass appeal. Personal favorites are Buttress of Solitude and the lengthy Guardians of the Threshold.
