Skyway's flair twist plus line of wheeled luggage features a zero gravity frame construction that is fully flexible for maximum protection of your contents while in transit. it is lighter and stronger than a conventional frame construction, helping to keep packed luggage below most airline-enforced weight restrictions. the new flair twist plus wheel system features four rolling contact points to maximize case stability and eliminate the feeling of weight while rolling. all four wheels rotate a full 360 degrees in both directions and are designed for high durability and smooth operation over a variety of surfaces. each vertical case comes complete with the skyway ergonomic handles and lock-up/lock-down handle system. this handle system has two locking positions, locking the handle in a fully extended or a half extended position which allows for better ergonomic control. once in the locked down position, the handle stores in low profile mode. all the pieces in the new flair twist plus line are constructed of ultra durable water and tear resistant nylon. each piece is fully lined to protect the contents of the case. zippers are self-repairing nylon zippers with smoothzip movement that are easier than ever to open and close, even when your bag is fully packed.

Traded in the spinner version of this bag (wheels looked like they would not last) and opted for the standard 22 inch roller board to replace my Travelpro of 10 some years....I liked the quality and construction. Wheels seem up to the challange, the handles are strong and durable. Standard pockets on the outside for boarding passes, liquids, etc. Inside is nice, lots of space for up to 7 days. I like the system to secure items in the main compartment, more easy to secure and also stores items as well. Overall I think this bag looks good, durable, functional, and meets my needs of a bag that I can choose to carry on for my onward trip and check in with the Airline on my return. Not sure if it will hold up as long as my Travelpro, but for the cost, it seems that it may try to give it a run for the money.

I just received this bag today, so my observations are early and untested. I will update after having a chance to use this bag.

I frequently travel on short business trips, just about every week, so I need a carry-on that is convenient to drag through airports and up and down hotel parking lots. I have wanted to try a spinner for a while now since they seem like less weight pulling behind you and this would make those trips just a bit more comfortable.

This bag looks great from a distance. I like the handle on top, it retracts so is almost flush when not in use, also has metal-looking attachments that class it up a bit. The look of the bag is very sleek, the main clothes compartment has a slim look to it, but additional pockets attached to the outside provide more storage for miscellaneous items. The exterior pocket on top, with the logo, seems to be the right size for a quart-sized baggie full of 3oz. or less toiletries.

It looks much thinner and compact than my other carry-on, a trashed "swiss army" brand of bag. However, when I closely compared the two, the Skyway is actually a little taller, wider and the same depth. Pretty cool that it will hold as much stuff but doesn't look like a huge bag - will help with the overly ambitious check-in agents who used to pull me aside thinking my bag was too big to fit in the overhead compartment. I used to have to demonstrate that my bag fit the dimensions.

My main complaints:

1. Looking up close, the nylon appears to be thin and is stretched improperly over the frame, which on my bag causes a few large wrinkles on top. This seems to be just a cosmetic issue, hopefully will not cause future problems with tearing. I would prefer to have bag that looks like new when I haven't even used it yet, but it's not enough for me to go through the hassle of exchanging for a different bag.

2. As you can see from the pictures the main compartment, where the wheels are attached, is fairly slim compared to overall bag storage space. This means the wheels don't have a deep base to keep the bag stable standing up.

Compared to my older bag, this Skyway seems to easily tip over when empty. If I just push it forward a tiny bit, the bag falls over. When full, I think this would be just as much of a problem, possibly more so if the weight is not distributed well.

Time will tell, but I will practice using it in the house for the next week or two just in case I need to return it due to the potential tipping issue.
