If you are a fan of slack key guitar, you will love this CD. He plays with his own unique slack key tunings, and presents a nice variety of style & sound. I am fortunate to know Sonny Lim and his ohana, and this is a family of great musicians. When I see him play, I know that Sonny's music comes from his heart. He plays not for the mighty dollar but simply for the love of the music. Sonny Lim is absolutely one of the best slack key artists I have ever heard... and there are some great ones on the islands. Get this CD and then if you're ever on the Big Island, make it a point to go hear & see him in person!

I first heard Sonny Lim as one of several musicians on Slack Key Guitar vol. 2 and thus rushed to buy this solo recording. This recording is certainly worth having and almost as good as Slack Key Guitar vol. 2 (to which I give 5 stars).
