Bought it on May 17. Ended up buying 11 (and counting) other slack key music cds. But still my favorite overall. I can't sing, but do want to learn to play slack key, so this instrumental cd of solo (no other instrument) slack key inspires me. You will not go wrong buying this one!

The mellow performances match my personality, and bring to mind images of balmy breezes and swaying trees.

I've been looking for another instrumental cd of solo slack key performances, but have yet to find one that matches this one...except maybe Ozzie Kotani's, and Ledward Kaapana's live CD.

If you are wanting to play slack key, listen to this one and hear what can be achieved, without being distracted by other instruments.

I had no idea what Slack Key Guitar was until finally took the wrapper off this CD and played it. Love this CD. Very relaxing. Great backgound music-can let it play all day. Brings back the memories of our visit to Hawaii.

This is wonderful music played by excellent musicians. I would have given it five stars had I not first heard Slack Key Guitar vol. 2, which I think is slight better (certainly a little longer).

Again I am amazed by the product that I received. The product was in alot better condition than I exspected. The item arrived earlier than predicted. Wow!!!!!

The artists on this compilation bring you to the islands. You can almost hear the waves crashing & feel the gentle breezes.

Having visited Hawaii recently we became aquainted with the "slack key" type of Hawaiian guitar playing. Fascinating and a welcome change from what in popular music passes as 'guitar playing". we purchased a C.D. in Hawaii and coming home we promptly purchased more. This volume has a, volume 2, which is even better. The Amazon purchase went smooth and proper as is usual.
