This is a strong LP and if you take the time to listen to this album you will like most of the stuff you hear. The album, with the exception of one or two tracks is Cappadonna's best work since the Pillage.

Cappadonna returns with his 5th solo album, and after taking a 5 year hiatus he dropped 2 albums in a 6 months span. Like th other review said, this is his best work since his classic 1998 solo debut, "The Pillage", and this one is also a classic. His "Yin & Yang" and "Cappaptilize Project" are lower 4 star albums and I'd give his "Struggle" a 4 star rating as well, but a notch above the other 2. On this one you get 16 songs (and 2 acapella freestyles), of the 16, 3 are classics, 1 is a near classic, 1 is ok, and the other 11 are good, with quite a few being really good songs. Guests are a little heavy, on 9 of the 16 songs, but it's nice to hear Cap again after his long break. Production is very nice as well. Digem Trax does 5 songs, 3rd Diglah and Q Dini each do 2, Rush, N.E.S., B.T., Soul Professor, Blastah Beats, G-Clef and Chicargo all do 1 song. A must have album and I'd venture to say will be a top 10 album of 2009, probably top 5.
#1 - (acapella freestyle) #2 - 9 (nice beat) #3 - 9 (f/ 3rd Diglah & Lounge Lo - nice beat) #4 - 8 (f/ Joey Lee - song for the ladies) #5 - 8 (song about the days growing up) #6 - 8.5 #7 - 8.5 (f/ JoJo Pelligrino & 3rd Diglah - good beat) #8 - 9 (f/ Raekwon (who spits a GREAT verse & Ratchet - nice beat) #9 - 9 #10 - (acapella freestyle) #11 - 10 (CLASSIC - f/ Loung Lo, King Just & Lugar - deep song over a tight beat) #12 - 10 (CLASSIC - f/ G-Clef da Mad Komposa - tight beat) #13 - 10 (Another CLASSIC - great beat) #14 - 9.5 (f/ Lounge Lo - tight beat) #15 - 8.5 #16 - 8 (f/ Masta Killa) #17 - 9 (f/ Percise - nice beat) #18 - 7 #19 (same as #1) Darryl Hill - b. 1969 - b.
