Cmon, this is the first album!, March 18, 2010

To the new Pavement fan:
Forget about Terror Twilight. This is the one. This is theirs outstanding debut album. If you can, don't go for the cheap quality new version. Stick with the 180g piece. Songs filled with fuzz and very inteligent lyrics that will take you back to your youth, when everything was possible. These grooves will challenge your way to think about music, and make you wonder where the hell did indie rock go...

This Pavement's Best Album, April 21, 2010
This review is from: Slanted & Enchanted (Low Price Vinyl Version) (Vinyl)
The songs are moody and edgy. Every song is excellent. No fillers here. There is a longing in the bands phrasing in both instruments and vocals. You get everything here. Cool fills on drums. Guitar screeches. Nice time signature changes with counter-melodies to back the lead vocals. Just a really great listen. I agree with the other reviewer, though. Get the 180g version over the cheap vinyl. Matador keeps their prices low on vinyl anyway. Might as well get the better product.
