5.0 out of 5 stars L7 was the greatest
Oh how I miss L7 and there original, hard edged brand of rock n roll. I actually saw this CD in a mall when I was stationed in Okinawa Japan. I didn't bother buying it because like other reviewers, I have had these songs for years on original CDs. There are no songs here from either their self titled LP, nor any from Slap Happy. This is because those albums were not on...

3.0 out of 5 stars Wait for a REAL compilation.
So, what do we have? 12 good songs from 3 good albums. Are they the best songs? Maybe, maybe not. Here's the bottom line. For about the same price as this 1 cd, you could go get "Smell the magic", "Bricks are heavy", "Hungry for stink", and "The Beauty process...". Especially used. If you quickly need a 1 disc L7 fix that's not 40...

This is because those albums were not on Slash records.

L7 was an awesome band and there are some great songs on here, Pretend we're Dead, Monster, and Everglade being among my favorites of the songs represented on this disk. However all their albums were great and I think you would have a beter overall knowledge and appreciation of L7 if you bought their studio albums instead. Check eBay or Pawn SHops and you can probably buy ALL their albums for less than 15 dollars.

I wish they would come back, but like Lita Ford, I don't seen anything on the horizon for a long time. Donita has gone solo and is gigging around right now, catch her if you can.

5.0 out of 5 stars I DON'T OWN THIS BUT I OWN THE SONGS!, April 22, 2006
This review is from: Slash Years (Audio CD)
ok so I had bought all the albums way before this was released.. L7 is possibly the best female punk metal bands there has ever been.. extremely original and creative the girls did something special when they were together.. it was a sad day when I found out that they had split.. sad in deed..

this is a good CD just because all the songs are amazing.. BUT trust me the albums they came from are ultramega awesome and deserve to be owned by all of you..

Trust me you can find these used for pennies!
