Dr. Thurston describes in a clear, simple and accesible way various sustainable agriculture systems used around the world. The book has a "direct to the point" approach, perfect for a begginner. It is complete, objective and didn't fall into the anecdotic. It truly helped me and showed a real way to do sustainable agriculture.

We'll this book is great. It explains ways in which to farm ecologically in the tropics. The mulch techniques are very sound. Data is let known about the species which are used and the countries in which certain systems are lived in. Bascially about systems. Its a shame that the book went out of print.
