Bill has proved to be very versatile in many styles with the likes of his solo music offerings. He has also played and recorded with arguably some of the greatest musicians to date, He has done various recordings and clinics with Stu Hamm (Joe Satriani, Steve Vai), Gigi Gonaway (Mariah Carey, Stevie Wonder), Mike Mangini (Extreme, Steve Vai), Polo Jones (Whitney Houston, Eric Clapton, Zucchero), Marqhuino Brasil (Mariah Carey, Craig Chaquico), and he still tours with his live band including drummer Brice Busch.
The songs on Slather harken back to the days when music was recorded live by musicians and not computers. Using the talents of Stu, Gigi, and Mike, Bill has assembled a unique amalgamation of musical support. Also utilizing atypical instruments such as Clavinet and Hammond, Slather represents a look into the future of instrumental guitar.
Bills representation of technique on guitar ranges from rock influenced, in-your-face power to Latin/Cuban inspired grooves to sultry acoustic melodies. As one visitor to BillLonero.com cited "Your ability to make the guitar sing as a voice and drive like a freight train and soar like a glider is awesome. You do not sound alike in any of the songs you do. It is like listening to a guitar with multiple personalities. I love it".
Most recently Apple Computers/QuickTime has taken on the cause by using their immense advertising capabilities to promote Bill on their website and Quicktime Player, the latter bringing in 50,000 visitors to BillLonero.com in 24 hours.
With the release of Slather to an on growing fan base world wide, further promotion on Apple.com including a 3 day listening party for the release of Slather and live shows in the works, the old cliché rings true, "the future is looking pretty bright".

Better than I was expecting.,
By Marcus Abundus (Los Altos, CA USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Slather (Audio CD)
I was expecting to hear a lot of shredfest guitar playing with not a lot of substance or depth, however I was pleasantly surprised. Loved the Latin beat in Heart of the Soul. Then he swithes to something smoother in "12:34". I am hoping to get to see his show in LA in Februrary. Hope to hear more in the future.

Great Album,
By Larry Hendricks (South Beach, Florida) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Slather (Audio CD)
I love this album. Very diverse. Doesn't sound anything like Satriani. It was a breath of fresh air. No stale melodies, or predictable chord progressions. I was very shocked to hear Latin as well as classical guitar on it. I think the problem with alot of people is they think that because it is an instrumental guitar album it has to compare to Joe Satriani. Wrong. Bill has taken it to the next step and branched out from the typical "shred guitar" fest. This album reflects maturity, substance and overall great musicianship. I would HIGHLY recommend this album to anyone that just wants to hear some great guitar playing and great songwriting.
You know what they say "those that are ahead of the pack get picked on the most"...or something like that :)

Wonderful songs, great guitar playing and superb musicianship. I highly recommend this cd to fans of Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Eric johnson, Gary Hoey and just music fans in general. I am highly impressed with the diversity on this cd.
