If you are looking for a little bit of romance in your bdsm books, you won't find it in this one.

I really thought the premise interesting with the on-line "Master" and "Slave" going beyond the computer, but it ended up just being a cautionary tale of be careful what you wish for.

I found the the guy really disgusting and mentally deranged. There was nothing appealing about him. Some of the sex scenes were hot, but so much of the book dealt more with depriving her of food to get her to obey and wearing her down to the point she'll do anything to be fed. I don't find that sexy or hot.

If you want your master/slave relationship with much more depth, read Obsession - Girl Abducted by Claire Thompson. It's a much more satisfying read.

I cannot deny that the book was well written from a grammatical standpoint, and that the scenes were realistically done. However this is not your typical "bdsm romance/erotic fiction" book. The scenes are quite graphic, and contain many kinks which a lot of readers would find objectionable, bathroom scenes, food depravation, hard-core bondage and punishment and degradation and humiliation. This book is not for the faint of heart, but for those readers who like their sexual fiction mixed with violence.

OMG. If you want a fast-paced super dark, dirty BDSM abduction novel, pick this up and check it out. It's Thompson at her best. I liked the ending too, because it wasn't her typical romance love conquers all scenario, but a dark, realistic ending to a very disturbing very erotic story. Two thumbs (and other parts of my anatomy) up! WAY up!

When I choose a BDSM book, I do it because I like to read abou this, and in some level it turns me on. This book does the opposit, since it plays with the idea that BDSM is not a "nice" thing, and mixes a fantasy for the reader with a cruel reality.
The girl is not there because she wants to be, and therefore there is real suffering in her mind, which is not what I look for in these stories. The guy is not the kind that makes you dream about, and the book marks more for scenes of true degradation and humiliation then for the sex scenes.
I don't like it to when the end of the story makes you feel morally "wrong" for being interested in BDSM, so this book is not one I will ever read again.

When it comes to BDSM...no one can write like Claire Thompson, like her other books, she delves into the mindset of the women she writes, to get a woman's perspective in BDSM practices is nice to read, this one has a guy named Gilbert who has this alter-ego Master John who he portrays in an online BDSM chat forum with other women playing the role of submissives (is there such a thing on-line?) anyway he becomes smitten with Slave Jade, so much that he finds out her real identity & abducts her & attempts to make her his sex slave submissive, true, she has had these yearnings, one chapter has her before being abducted trying to get her ex-boyfriend to dominate her, but Gilbert's alter-ego John has Jade, her real name Lisa fascinated by his demands, but when he abducts her & she soon realizes that her dream Dom is this monster, the line between fantasy & reality get blurred, Gilbert does everything a real Dom wouldn't do, he practically starves her, & seems to have a split personality at times, one minute he is sweet & gentle with her, another minute, he is mean & nasty to her, like her other books I have reviewed, Thompson pretty much writes in the same manner & is very explicit at times, the book's ending however is right out of a "Lifetime" movie-of-the-week, to all the would-be Doms out there, Thompson's other book "Accidental Slave" is the way to win a true submissive, this book is a clear example of what not to do when looking for a true submissive.

This story shows the sad reality of what deceit can be portrayed when one lives in a fantasy life that only exists behind one's computer.
The sadistic man pretending to be a true "Dom", really hates women. There is no love because he is too deranged and suffers from self esteem issues.

Lisa "aka", Slave Jade, wants the love from a true Dom. Posing as a front for everything she believes her fantasy could be, is Master John. After being kidnapped and tortured and having to be degraded in order to survive, we all get to see the true fight of the human spirit. The journey will be painful, but the mind is a very powerful thing. It shows us the strength and the will to survive lives in each of us.

HE CUT OUT A NICE PICTURE FROM A WOMEN'S MAGAZINE AND USED THAT LIKENESS WHEN HE DOWNLOADED WHAT HE LOOKED LIKE TO HIS SEX SLAVES AT A BDSM CHAT SITE, BUT ONE SLAVE GOT TO HIM AS NONE HAD EVER DONE BEFORE AND HE FOUND HIMSELF PLOTTING TO MEET HER, KIDNAP HER,MAKE HER FALL MADLY IN LOVE WITH HIM, AND LIVE HAPPILY IN THE CARIBBEAN.

SLAVE JADE FOUND HERSELF DEEP IN THOUGHT ABOUT MASTER JOHN, THE DOM THAT SHE CHATTED WITH ON A BDSM CHAT SITE. SHE WANTED TO PURSUE HER KNOWLEDGE IN THE LIFESTYLE AND SHE WAS SURE THAT MASTER JOHN WOULD HELP HER AND THEN MAYBE SHE COULD MEET A DOM AND BE HIS SUBMISSIVE.
