4.0 out of 5 stars Dark elegant bdsm
Aran Ashe writes dark and intense erotic prose. If you like your erotica simple and crude, he is not for you. Aran Ashe writes dark and intense erotic prose. If you like your erotica simple and crude, he is not for you. However if you enjoy lush sensual detail set in a brooding, sinister world of power and sexual dominance, he is a pleasure to read. All his novels share this quality, particularly the Lidir series and also Choosing Lovers for Justine, another great female submissive piece of prose, with a pleasing twist at the end. Ashe should really be savoured. While his characterisation may not be profound, his sense of the dark erotic and his ability to describe, is always arousing and ocasionally lyrical.
