Honestly, music simply does not get any better than this. This album is a classic and out of the thousands of CD's I have to choose from, I keep ending up with this one everywhere I go. "I got you babe, to make me feel alright." Get it. What are you waiting for? You are really missing out if you haven't heard this before. Order it now!Thank you Lucky Dube! You created something very beautiful here.

I like this CD because it gives a lot of information about the real life in Africa and people in general. It also emphasis some challenges facing we all, not only your behavior but also cases based on color.

An Absolute reggae classic!,

This unheralded reggae singer from South Africa is the real deal. Blessed with a rich tenor as well as an amazing falsetto, Dube has more range than any reggae singer out there today. He is backed by a great band and equally talented back-up singers that lay down classic roots reggae. Lucky Dube shows that Africa is the place to look for true roots reggae, as dancehall has taken over Jamaica. Songs inculde both political numbers as well as great love songs. A must for any reggae collector!

I have just returned from living in the West Indies and being drenched in soca music.Somewhere in between I heard "taxman" and just melted. Some investigation at the local store found me the artists name-I thought it lucky to be.They had Slave only from 1989,so I bought it.Our family has not yet let it rest.Pure, intense and beautifully mastered, can it be bettered???

You won't be able to stop listening to this CD by Lucky Dube----it's his best ever, and one of the best all time!!!! It never sounds old or tired, but is fresh and uplifting. Going Back to my Roots and Slave are particularly powerful. You will not be disappointed.
