Not Classic but very good if you like Dirty Looks,

Slave To The Machine is a monster. It's basically the Dirty Looks you remember but more powerfull and a bit less melodic. The album starts off with a really strong tune in "Slave In The Machine" and for the most part the whole first half of the album blows doors. The second half of the album is a bit more hit and miss but still good enough to grow on you and with 13 tracks you can live with a couple mediocre tunes. The final tune "Last Crack" is a standout. In the end, although this album is not recorded to sound like Cool From The Wire or other classic Dirty Looks releases it is very strong and a must have for those who enjoy Dirty Looks. That said, if what you remember about Dirty Looks is Cool From The Wire and you want something more similar to that release I suggest the album "Bootlegs" or "One Bad Leg" if you are searching for lesser known Dirty Looks releases that you may have missed. And certainly if you slept on Five Easy Pieces pull your head out and find that one immediately.

Slave To The Machine is a fantastic disc worth buying. Anyone that likes 80's Hard Rock or Ac/Dc around the Dirty Deeds-High Voltage era should look into DIRTY LOOKS! They are by far my Favorite band and have been since around 1989 when I discovered Cool From The Wire. I've done everything I can think of to grow my collection from then. Don't stop with the 3 listed CD's. They are all great. I even have I Want More, In Your Face and the self titled idependant releases. Cool From The Wire, Turn Of The Screw, Five Easy Pieses, Bootlegs, One Bad Leg, Chewing On The Bit, Rip It Out, Slave To The Machine, Rumbledog-Rumbledog, Rumbledog-Drowning Pool, & Burning Orange-Taar close out my collection.
