The Slave Zone is a great read.,

This review is from: The Slave Zone (Paperback)
I don't ordinarily read erotic novels, and I'm not particularly into BD/SM. That being said, Wolkoff won me over with The Slave Zone. He fearlessly writes his protagonist in the first person, which makes Lana really come alive as the novel takes her from a devout virgin to a submissive sex slave. This device also makes us privy to her thoughts--her hopes, dreams and fears. We are in her head as she journeys into "the zone," and the trip is fascinating, sexually charged and sometimes downright scary. The other characters are well-drawn, as well. Wolkoff isn't satisfied to feed his reader a diet of cliche cut-outs and instead serves up living humans with strengths and frailties we can relate to. They come alive through a plot that kept my interest with unexpected changes in pace and direction. Great read.

The Slave Zone was amazing. I was completely sucked into it right away. A very interesting read. The story grabs your attention from the very beginning and doesn't let go! The sex scenes were very well written and realistic. Something for everyone, if B&D is your thing. (Even if it isn't, this is still a great story) Unlike a lot of books in this genre, this one has an interesting plot too. Really liked the island. What variety! ;0 I was taken by surprise with this one. Not for the kids!!!

Outstanding BDSM M/S book,

This is about Lana who is a sub but switches (she does sub and dom both). She isn't getting what she needs from her boyfriend and takes up with Mo the self described "toughest biker in Arizona" and a sociopath. Lana winds up in the hospital where she is rescued by a Dom and winds up as a slave. The organization seems to be similar to The Trainer (The Marketplace Series, 3) the Marketplace but is called the Circle. Very well done characters generally mild BDSM, some M/F and F/F action as well as the expected Ds and M/S. More about people than heavy duty BDSM.
Overall an excellent read, supposed to be the first in a series.

I'm a long time reader of BDSM books and I had stop for a while, not able to get back into it. When I picked up this book, I couldn't put it down except to make my bf very happy. Def. a great read if you like BDSM novels. It keeps you intersted and I love a stern but caring mistress. I loved all the details and I could connect to all the characters.

I love The Slave Zone and it will definitely be a part of my permanent ertocia collection. Getting to see Lana's journey from virgin to island sex slave was great. I love BDSM erotica with a high fantasy quotient rather than something that is bogged down by too much negotiotian and safe words and real life, and this certainly delivered--I'm a sucker for a good sex island! Lana was one of the most well-developed characters in any erotic novel I've read and the sex was really hot. There was a lot of f/f action, but it wasn't limited to that, and while I usually prefer m/f, this was definitely hot enough to turn me on no matter what the pairing. If you like reading about submissive women with multiple partners and incredibly hot scenes, you can't go wrong with this book!

Peter Wolkoff hits a home run with this tale of a young woman surrendering to forbidden urges. I've never really read erotic literature outside of a Playboy magazine so this was a first. Well written from a first person perspective, the book will definitely have you looking at your significant other in a new way.

Not exactly a bad read but i bet i could find much better one under a minute. I could'n like characters of this book. They just feel.. plastic would be appropriate. Especially none of the Dom's are likeable(though i might feel so because i don't like femdom and switches)
I don't really know how to discribe the feeling but this book just wasn't my cup of tea. If you like mediocre BDSM books i could advice Sweet Persuation or Accidental Slave (dont remember auth. names)

I bought this book cause the other reviewers talked it up so much. It seemed to start off interesting enough, but, for me, it began to drag. Sure the scenes are intense and all, but something just seems to be missing from it. In many places I thought it would be nice of the pace was picked up here or there. In fact I found myself reading other books in the middle of this book.
