4.0 out of 5 stars Not for the faint of stomach or heart
This novel follows two brothers into the world of sexual slavery, a world they thought was make believe but which becomes all too real when they are kidnapped and sold on the Arab market. There is a lot of intense torture, both physical and mental, as well as incest in various forms in this book so be forewarned. The story is told in three parts: the encounter that...

3.0 out of 5 stars Gay twin brothers kidnapped and sold into slavery, June 3, 2007
This review is from: A Slave's Gambit (Paperback)
Twenty two year old twin brothers James and Greg Rutherford, sons of a wealthy and influential Boston man, have been given first class tickets to Rome and enough in traveller's cheques to live in style for six months as their graduation reward. The gay brothers love one another dearly, and enjoy each others favours, but they are looking for some real action in Rome, something new and exciting. They find more than they bargain for, when one, then the other is kidnapped and sold into slavery. Whisked off to an unknown overseas destination in the middle of the desert, forced to live without clothes and often in chains, they are trained to be obedient and willing, ready to satisfy their prospective Arab master. Along the way they are joined by Simon, a much younger lad who has been in slavery for around three years. Are they all doomed to a life of servitude and degradation; is there any hope of escape, or will their father care enough to search for them.
A Slave's Gambit is a fast moving and erotic story with plenty of master/slave action. It makes very easy reading and has an interesting plot, but I felt the conclusion was somehow lacking, Greg's final actions I found disturbing.

4.0 out of 5 stars I loved it!, January 15, 2012
This review is from: A Slave's Gambit (Paperback)
This is one of the best Larry Townsend books I ever read. It was very good and seriously intense. It is NOT for the faint of heart and unless you want to read homo-erotica that focuses on sexual slavery (and all that the image that word congers up) don't bother.

I've read almost all Larry wrote and this work is near the top of the list.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good story, intense torture,servitude,etc...what more do you want?, February 27, 2008

This review is from: A Slave's Gambit (Paperback)
Twin boys are given a trip to Rome as a graduation present from their father. While there, they are kidnapped into slavery. Something they thought was a myth.
They soon learn the meaning of obediance, submission, pain, torture, servitude and degradation. They brutally learn what master/slave means.
All those good things that one looks for in a bdsm novel and especially written by Mr. Townsend.
good story,erotic,fast-paced,never a dull moment
I enjoyed it!
