5.0 out of 5 stars This Is A Great Guide To Buffy, March 26, 2000
I have been a fan of Buffy for a long time and I know a good Buffy book when I see one, and this is a great Buffy book. It has information on Xander, Willow, Giles, Cordy, Angel, Faith and close to everyone on the show. The book also has a list of bloopers, info on the cast, episode information, and much much more. Buy this book, you'll be glad you did!

5.0 out of 5 stars It slays me (Corny, I know....), April 20, 2000
This is a really good guide to Buffy. I just started watching the show at the end of last season and this book helped me catch up with the seasons I missed plus explained the episodes I saw. It also gives descriptions of the novels, the movie, and the unaired pilot episode that was used to bring advertisers to the show. I highly recommend this book to any and all Buffy fans.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent, July 13, 2004
This review is from: Slayer: The Last Days of Sunnydale (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) (Mass Market Paperback)
Keith Topping does an excellent job of reviewing Season 7 of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer." I thoroughly enjoyed reading this guide to the final season of this series.

He has researched the subject very thoroughly and included many quotes from writers and actors. This guide is unbiased and is very consistent with the views that Joss Whedon has expressed in his interviews.

I highly recommend that you buy "Slayer: The Last Days of Sunnydale" instead of the Watcher's Guide. The research is much more thorough and Keith Topping's interpretation of the show is much less biased.

4.0 out of 5 stars OK, but kind of critical, August 24, 2004
This review is from: Slayer: The Last Days of Sunnydale (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) (Mass Market Paperback)
I really enjoyed this book, yet I found some of the author's opinions getting in the way, and he got some of the details mixed up in the series summary up to season seven in the beginning of the book. The "Did You Know?" sections were awesome and offered a lot of facts about the cast and crew that I had never known before. Some of the critique was kind of harsh, but that's because I thought season seven was extremely good. This book is worthy of 4 stars, but I've read other BtVS books that are much better.I really liked the fact that the author not only gave episode summaries, but also told the reader what was happening at the time the episode aired(Ex. interviews that the cast were involved in,etc.). If you're looking for a book that offers summaries, fun facts, and critique then this book in for you!

5.0 out of 5 stars Staked Gold., June 11, 2000
A refreshing change to stuffy old Guides to T.V show. I especially loved the fashion reports on each episode listed. It was well written, and achieved a funny, interesting, information packed guide to the worlds greatest T.V. shows! (Except for Angel)The only thing I could fault(and I am very, very picky) was the lack of pictures.

It gives Pop Culture References, such as "Authority Sucks!" and "It's a Designer Label." This book a "must" for all fans of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. It covers season 1 through 5 in great detail. Its a good read for everyone.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great, but before you buy, December 30, 2001
Note that there's a new edition coming out in March, 2002, and if I were you I'd wait for it.

But otherwise, it's great. This is my favorite guide to BtVS, and I've looked at all of them.

4.0 out of 5 stars great reading for buffy fans, December 18, 2001
this review book is unlike others out there, while it admittedly has a british bias, i found it to be easily readable and refreshing. it offers a lot of information not found in other buffy books- such as fashion critiques, pop culture references, etc.

There are a few problems like lack of pictures, not covering the full 7 seasons of Buffy and no coverage of Angel the series. But these few problems do not detract from how great fans will find this book.

while this may be too much for a casual viewer, i'm sure all buffy fans would want to add this to there collection!
