Very Melodic, Atmospheric Black Metal, January 21, 2008

Very Burzum sounding, this album is completely atmospheric. There arent many build-ups in the songs, so they just stay at one, slow-ish, pace all throughout. Slayer of Lost Martys reminds me a lot of Burzum's Filosofem, just not as epic. Its not the kind of black metal I prefer, but this album is still awesome. It has a very dark feel that puts you in almost a trance of some sort. This album can also be quite scary if you sit in a completely dark room (absoultely no light coming in) and have this playing through earphones while you sit in a chair in the middle of the room. Youll feel the music around you, sort of absorbing you and its creepy as hell. Other than for that purpose, I would recommend Filosofem or pretty much any early Burzum albums. They are way better. I give this album 3.5 stars.
