I found this supplement very useful for a D&D or similar game. Contains logical, well-thought-out ideas for adventures and good perspective on how hobgoblins behave, and even better, why they behave that way. Contains sections on military organization, tactics, society, and some entertaining short stories which illustrate particular principles. For the money, an excellent value. This book can definitely breathe new life into one of the "stock" enemy types for fantasy RPGs.
