5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent work!
I'm a great fan of the Slayers, so maybe I'm biased, but I loved this CD. It's not as good overall as ones such as Tenchi-Muyo, but the music is great, and I love the first two tracks. Hayashibara Megumi is definitely a very talented woman! Although I've never seen Slayers Next, I still enjoyed the CD very much.

3.0 out of 5 stars Mediocre CD.
This CD was OK. I was really hoping for some of the catchy themes [vocal] that are usually seen in Slayers Next. Most of the music [16 tracks of it] was just background music from the series.

Although good, these did not please me as well as some vocals by Megumi Hayashibara would have. I was expecting more or less more M.H. songs.

Infact, there were NO...

4.0 out of 5 stars Very good, but not as good as the Sound Bible II, September 7, 1998

I liked this album, however, I liked more the energy of the previous one. Anyway, this one's really good, and it has the "give a reason" theme in english: "Brave Souls". It's very instrumental... not as vocal as the other ones...

4.0 out of 5 stars A great CD for a great series, February 6, 2001
This review is from: Slayers Next: Sound Bible 3 (1996 Anime Series) (Audio CD)
Looking for a quality anime soundtrack to add to your collection? You can't get much better than this one! Slayers NEXT Sound Bible III consists of 20 tracks...unfortunately only 4 of which are vocals (which is why this CD only gets 4 stars). Still, the instrumentals are very catchy and set a wonderful mood. The vocal tracks, however, are almost worth the price of the CD by themselves.

"Alone" sung by Touma Yumi [Sylphiel] is a bittersweet, but very beautiful love ballad. Matsumoto Yasunori [Gourry] gives an amazing performance in his song "Uso no Nai Game" (which, if it were in English, would literally make him a superstar). "Secret - Dareka No Message" by Ishida Akira [Xelloss] is a cute song with a surprisingly tender message of love to a secret someone. And "Brave Souls," an English remix of the Slayers NEXT opening "Give A Reason," simply rocks. Astute Slayers fans will note that the singer is none other than the Lord of Nightmares!

Megumi fans beware...Slayers NEXT Sound Bible III has NO tracks by the great Hayashibara Megumi. However, if you're looking for an anime soundtrack to a great series, this CD is definitely for you.

A great CD for a more-than-great series. Like the other Sound Bible, it contains background musics (BGM) and songs from the series. Both are wonderful. According to me, the song "Alone" (track 01) by Yumi Tohma, very beautiful and emotional, which is my favorite, is the best of the CD, but they rock all. Even if you don't know Slayers, and even if you don't like anime, I'm sure you will enjoy the CD.

This CD was OK. I was really hoping for some of the catchy themes [vocal] that are usually seen in Slayers Next. Most of the music [16 tracks of it] was just background music from the series.

Although good, these did not please me as well as some vocals by Megumi Hayashibara would have. I was expecting more or less more M.H. songs.

Infact, there were NO vocals from the series. I was hoping the wonderful opening and closing would be on there. The only thing that came partially close was the "Give a reason" remix intitled "Brave souls" at the very end.. tho' it was in English, and that made it almost unbareable, seeing as how I've watched the subtitled tapes since the beginning.

All-and-all it's got a nice cover, layout, and booklet inside, but it's not a Megumi Hayashibara CD, as the season is sung by pretty much just her, but instead it's just a musical enjoyment.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best of Slayers, March 30, 2005
This review is from: Slayers Next: Sound Bible 3 (1996 Anime Series) (Audio CD)
I honestly believe this is the best of all Slayers BGM soundtracks. This is the music that most reminds me of the series and, I believe, is even used in Slayers Try in some places. I completely conveys the emotions at the end of the series, from some comedy, to sheer doom, to loss and, eventually, a happy ending. All in all, this is easily my favorite of the Slayers soundtracks. Highly recommended for any fan of the series.

4.0 out of 5 stars Pretty Cool!, December 19, 1998

I thought it was pretty cool, but a little too instrumental. The first two Sound Bibles were better and the TRY Treasury Vox and BGMs rock! All in all, it's pretty good. ^_^
