4.0 out of 5 stars mattress pad and pillows
I received this set 3 days ago and I've never slept as comfortable as I did this past 2 nights! There are some pros and cons tho in buying this memory foam:

1) The set arrived in a box and the foam was wrapped in plastic to keep it from 'inflating'. I suggest you open the box, remove the plastic wrap and allow the foam to 'breathe' right away so you can use...

2.0 out of 5 stars Very low density memory foam!!!
I would not technically consider this "memory foam". It is super light weight and low density. When you press your hand into the cushion, instead of leaving an imprint of your hand, the foam fluffs back up right away. I've purchased a much cheaper 2" memory foam that weighed about twice as much as this one, and it provided much more support and cushion...

4.0 out of 5 stars mattress pad and pillows, January 17, 2008

I received this set 3 days ago and I've never slept as comfortable as I did this past 2 nights! There are some pros and cons tho in buying this memory foam:

1) The set arrived in a box and the foam was wrapped in plastic to keep it from 'inflating'. I suggest you open the box, remove the plastic wrap and allow the foam to 'breathe' right away so you can use it after 3-5 hours. That will remove the bad odor of the foam and have it to its real size.
2) The memory foam mattress pad was amazing. It made my semi-sunken at the middle mattress so soft and almost flat. Plus my shoulders and neck does not hurt as much anymore when I sleep on my side.
3) The pad was a little small than I expected tho. I purchased the full size pad and it is about 4- 6 inches less in width and 5-8 inches less in length compared to my full sized mattress.
4) I have to admit, the 2 pillows suck. As I quote my boyfriend, they are like pancakes that can easily get squished to flatness. So if you have the option to get the same mattress pad without the 2 pillows for a cheaper price, go get it.

Just sharing my rants and raves for this product. I hope this will help you decide.

2.0 out of 5 stars Very low density memory foam!!!, December 25, 2008
This review is from: Sleep Studio 3-Inch Ventilated Memory Foam Mattress Topper with Contour Pillows (Kitchen)

One thing people seem to leave out in their review is that this mattress pad has several small holes for "ventilation" throughout the entire body. Beware!

The quality of the foam is cheap, but I must admit it was comfortable. Unfortunately, this comfort only lasted a few months. So with everything considered, this is a very overpriced memory foam pad with a ridiculous original price tag. I do not recommend this pad if you're looking for memory foam!

5.0 out of 5 stars ZZZZZZZZ, February 13, 2008
Wow. I love this mattress pad! After so long not having a good night's sleep I was willing to try just about anything. A friend has a similar pad and swears by it. So I gave it a try. The pad fluffed up well over about 5 hours and was like laying on a cloud. I had the best night sleep in recent memory. The pillows aren't that thrilling simply because I don't normally like that kind of pillow and they were a little small. But my children love them so no worries, they have new pillows. I would highly suggest that anyone try this pad if you are in search of a good sleep without having to mortgage the house to pay for some of the popular name brands. Now time for a nap! :)

5.0 out of 5 stars Wow! What a difference, November 2, 2007
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
My first night's sleep on this foam mattress made me wonder why I hadn't gotten one sooner. Wow! It really does make a difference (at least it did for me). Slept better and much more insulated. I even think this helped my circulation even. Well worth the price.

Be warned: the product comes shipped in a box and the topper is rolled up VERY tight. Unrolling it is a bit of a hassle, then it takes at least 2 to 3 hours before it starts to rise and air gets into the foam. Today (2nd day of ownership) it is still not completely all kinked out, but be patient, it will finally be 3 inches etc.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not good memory foam, August 15, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Sleep Studio 3-Inch Ventilated Memory Foam Mattress Topper with Contour Pillows (Kitchen)
I saw the reviews on this and decided to give it a try. I had a 2" memory foam on our bed that I bought about 2 years ago. In comparison the old 2" one is considerbly heavier than the new 3". This is very cheap memory foam (the price and quality). This one is more like foam rubber. It is hard and not very confortable. We took it off this morning and put the old one back on.
Tempur-pedic's density is 5.3lbs.
I came up with about 3.05 lbs/cubic ft. for this pad. (Density = Weight / Volume = 13lb / 4.25 cu. ft. ).
Go to Sams and buy a good one.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing!!, April 7, 2007
This is the best purchase I have ever made. Money very well spent. I have never slept so well. Hip pain used to make fallling asleep difficult for me and with this memory foam mattress pad my joints no longer bother me at night. I have never reviewed a product before, but this product is so great I felt the need to say thank you.

3.0 out of 5 stars 10 inches too narrow, 8 inches too short, and missing a pillow, but VERY comfortable, March 28, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Sleep Studio 3-Inch Ventilated Memory Foam Mattress Topper with Contour Pillows (Kitchen)
I'm in Iraq, and the product wouldn't ship here... I know, being in a war-zone and wanting a good night's sleep with bombs and crap going off. silly me. Anyway, I had it shipped home, and then my wife shipped it to me. I wonder why so many things don't ship to an APO, yet other things do... To the point though, as described in my title- it was 10 inches too narrow for my twin bed, and 8 inches too short. I'm not super tall or super wide, but I still feel constrained to the small space available. I'm 5'10 and a half and my feet hang off the end. I understand the need to make it a little smaller than the mattress so the fitted sheet will fit, but frankly chopping 10 inches off the sides and 8 from the bottom is WAY too much. I wrote Amazon to see about sending the pillow to my wife, and I'll update this review if they send it by giving it another star, if not, I'll update it by taking away a star.

I'm tempted to give it fewer stars anyway since it's so jacked up... but honestly, the darned thing IS comfortable, what little of it there is, even with my feet hanging off. It sure makes it a lot easier to sleep after a 12 hour shift and hitting the gym and coming back sore- the mattress alone was harder than sleeping on a cot... with this mattress topper I get a decent night's sleep for a change instead of tossing and turning and having my arms fall asleep if I roll onto my side. That alone makes it worth it... If I had to do it over again, I'd buy a size up and trim it to fit.

1.0 out of 5 stars Memory?, October 1, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)

When you place your hand on it & take it away, it leaves no hand imprint for any amount of time. My neighbor is convinced this is not "really" memory foam, more like regular foam. (Are there different grades of density? I'm no memory foam expert.) For what it's worth to your purchase decision I am reviewing this on an old crappy mattress. We slept on it one week & our backs feel worse than without the enhancer. Unfortunately for me I purchased a queen size & cut it down to fit my full size bed properly (there were complaints that they make the toppers too small) so I can't return it. The pillows are also not for me.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Product, December 25, 2007
This is not the best product out there but for the price it's more than decent. I bought the item about a month ago and I'm still loving it. The mattress is a little longer than my actual twin mattress though, but it's very nice. I don't really use the pillow much as I'm not used to the curve. Overall great product!

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice and Cozy, December 2, 2007
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This product comes in a box bound by a thick plastic film. I thought the life was squeezed out of it when I saw it. After letting it air out for about three hours it came to life. It's pretty comfortable, I really like the sinking feeling it gives me everytime I climb into bed. I will say that I find myself moving every couple of hours during the night to find that just fell into bed feeling I like so much but that not too much to ask for as I weigh about 220lbs. I feel like the pillows are a nice extra, I only use one of them during the night as I find that using both of them is just a tad to firm for my liking. They do retain that funny smell for some time, especially since my nose is practically on it. Amazon's price was decent when comparing the cost of other site's and pads of equal quality. Let me state this is NOT Triple A+ rated visco foam. This stuff get a B+ when compared, but it's pretty darn good.
