After two well-chilled compilations in the Deepdown Tempos series, Upstairs Recordings releases its first album-length artist CD. I can honestly say it's well worth the wait! The CD features 12 brand new tracks which highlight Telefuzz's varied but consistently intoxicating sound. "Sleep" keeps true to Upstairs' musical mandate, showing a musical and thematic depth on par with not only Telefuzz's downtempo contemporaries but also longer standing masters of the electronic genre. A must have CD for those looking for more depth driven, less "flavour of the moment", electronic music.

Telefuzz's SLEEP is a triphop ambienic downtempo spectacular sound that took me away to another dimension! The weird song titles, notwithstanding, this set was wonderfully produced with just the right vibe to get you going as well as chill you out. I particularly love the way the songs segue and build from slow burn grooves to danceable cuts! A sure late-night pleaser... Highly recommended! A+

Look back and don't miss this album, December 31, 2002

With refreshing grace this album blends beats, jazz, vocals. It is by far one of the best offered in 2002. Don't walk away without at first sampling a few tunes. You will want to come back to this over and over again as I have done. Enjoy!
