1.0 out of 5 stars What the......?, December 6, 2006

This review is from: Sleep With This Book: A step by step guide to becoming a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) (Paperback)
The title should be "How to Get into Nurse Anesthesia School: A Complete Guide from Someone who, thus far, has been unable to do it, himself". In addition, the first clue that this book isn't worth the paper it's printed on is the fact that the person intubating on the cover is doing it with the wrong hand!! Buying this book is like buying a book by Ross Perot on how to become President of the United States. Give me a break, dude!

1.0 out of 5 stars Beware..., December 5, 2006
This review is from: Sleep With This Book: A step by step guide to becoming a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) (Paperback)
I AM a CRNA. There is no experience like walking the long road & living with the sacrifices required to get through an anesthesia program. If you wanna know how to become a CRNA... ask one. Ask a SRNA. The resources to learn about the profession are endless. I would never rely on a book written by someone who is an 'expert by association'.

2.0 out of 5 stars How does someone whos never done it know?, December 5, 2006
This review is from: Sleep With This Book: A step by step guide to becoming a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) (Paperback)
Well here is the thing.

Many of us have gone through the process and many are in it. It really isnt something you can know about unless you go through it. Would you ask how bad having an appendectomy was from someone who didn't do it? Would you read a book about how to make a million dollars from someone who makes less than you? Would you get diet advice from someone who is obese?

Then why would you learn what needs to be done to get into CRNA school from someone whos never done it?

Enuff said.
