I am a night-shift worker/daysleeper, a mother of constantly bickering twins, owner of an extremely vocal baying Basset Hound, and a wife to a man who snores louder than a Roto-Rooter sucking Jell-o. Since the man refuses to get help for his snoring, I'm kinda sorta fond of the twins, and they all insist I have to keep the dog, I started on a quest to find the perfect earplugs to shut.them.all.off. I had moderate success with the Hearos brands, but I kept running into the same problems over and over again: either the plugs were too big for my ears, causing discomfort, improper fit, and earplugs falling out in the middle of the night (or day), or they didn't block out enough sound. The "made for women" packaging seemed a little gimmicky, but once I tried them, I could really tell the difference between standard/ no gender earplugs and these shorter, narrower ones. They did take a little practice at first--just like all plugs, you have to roll them to elongate and adjust your ear to insert--but once I got the hang of it, they worked like a charm. They block out the majority of my husband's snoring, take the edge off the barking and bickering, but still let in just enough sound so you can hear conversation when you want to. I've even started giving them as bonus gifts for bridal showers and new moms, and they all tell me they didn't know how they coped without them. Nothing helps you deal more calmly with a crying baby (or two) than simply turning down the sound! =)

These are by far the best foam plugs I've found. I wonder if it is all just personal fit?

I do find that after a certain amount of use they don't compress well anymore, but when they are new they go into my small canals and block EVERYTHING. They last months before they stop working well for me.

I didn't think it would be necessary to have ear plugs especially for women. Honestly when I first saw them I thought that the packaging and color were just a gimmick to draw women to them over the others. But after being forced to use them on a trip once, I realized I was wrong. They are smaller than most ear plugs which really help me use them. My allergies started affecting my ears and making them swell on the inside and other ear plugs hurt too bad to use, but the smaller size of these gave me back my restful sleep. I thank someone for making them in a larger package to save me some money. Perhaps they will make an even larger pack soon.

For the last five years (at least) I have used the Pretty in Pink plugs and cannot sleep without them. I always carry at least two pairs with me at all times because I'm really sensitive to noise. I can easily develop a migraine from the most common sounds in a store (i.e., crying children, advertising over the loud speaker, people arguing on their cell phones, or the HD televisions playing different videos at the same time). They have been life-savers to me.

But.....lately, when I wear the Pretty in Pink ear plugs, they don't block the noise like before. Now, I can't fall asleep while my husband snores and, when I wake up, the plugs have usually fallen out. Plus, my ears itch deep inside the canal when I wear them, and even after 20 minutes, my ear canals are sore.

So, now, I use the Hearos Ultimate Softness ear plugs. They feel more like moleskin than rubber, and I can push them into my ear canal to really block the noise. Yet, my ears don't feel as though I've pushed corn cobs in them all night. Hearos Ultimate Softness, 20-Pair Foam (Pack of 2)

Sorry, Pretty in Pink. It was good while it lasted.

These earplugs are perfect for what they are advertised for - delicate ear canals needing them for sleep. No, they are not industrial or meant to wear to block out a band playing right next to you.

But for me, they work perfectly since I have a small ear canal that prevents me from using even normal sized ear bud headphones. My ears are usually sore after a night using regularly sized earplugs, not so with these.

I do reuse them, and they work better after a day or two use since they can be rolled more easily. Just remember not to reuse them too often or your next Qtip will be pink!

Always remember that you have to pull your outer ear up before putting the earplug in to straighten your ear canal and allow for a tighter fit.

Soft, comfortable, effective for a snoring partner.

These earplugs expand before I can even get them in my ear, so the fit is never snug enough to filter noise; they just fall out. Useless.

I have very small ear canals and find the regular ear plugs to make my ear canal hurt. This are very soft and pliable and are very comfortable. My only complaint is they don't seem to block sound as well. They still block a lot and definitely enough to sleep so not really an issue.

I found the best way to insert these earplugs is not to roll them, just wet your finger and insert in your ear
to wet the insert area, then just slide the earplugs in, no need to rool them. That way they fit perfectly and
have not had them fall out in the two years that I have been using them.

I have used these for the past week to drown out two snoring beings in my bedroom: my husband and my chihuahua. They mute most of the noise, but not to a complete level to acquire restful sleep. I agree with others critical commentary: you have to be quick to get these in the canal snugly and after a while they hurt. I feel like my ears are bruised and my left ear was a little bloody from the friction from the foam. Would not recommend and I hope to find a suitable replacement soon!

There's nothing about these that makes them "women's earplugs" except that they're pink (sexist maybe?). They are the same shape and size as the regular men's ones. If you have small ears, get Macks Dreamgirl(also hot pink).
