I have really bad insomnia at night, and Bill Perry's "Sleep" MP3 is one of the only things that can help me sleep at night. I just put it quietly on my ipod and usually within minutes I have fallen asleep. I have tried everything from warm milk to strong sleeping pills, but nothing works like this.

The problem with a product like this is twofold. For binaurals to be effective you need to wear earphones, and there's no breakout tracking of the alpha, theta and delta frequencies. So, it's lovely that this product will help me get to sleep, but once the CD is over I'm wearing headphones for no reason, and probably at some point will wake up enough to remove them. If I'm changing sleep position, as most people do, the headphones will likely be the reason I'm waking up. Simply putting the CD in repeat mode won't match with the normal sleep cycle, so that isn't a great option either. Since there's no breakout of the frequencies programming to better fit the sleep cycle isn't an option.
I generally use a competitor's product (a much more expensive product) that at least allows for me to program to a 90 minute cycle, even if the frequencies aren't broken out to optimize use for sleeping. The product is intended for meditation and works very well for that purpose. But it does allow me to program thirty minute sections of frequencies for deep sleep in a two to one ratio to a thirty minute section that steps down from waking frequencies, and I find that useful as a sleep aid and sound mask (important for me, as I am a day sleeper).
However, the Sleep program offered here is effective. If you're not bothered by the headphones (or earbuds) it will help you to drop off and get to a restful sleep state. It is especially pleasing that the audio mask of the binaurals here avoids the cheesiness and predictability of the music found on competing products (not the one I use regularly, which is also free of cheese and predictability). If you habitually have trouble sleeping there is nothing worse than an audio mask with memorable features that can allow you to track how long you've been failing to fall asleep.

2) Program dos not match with a normal sleep cycle, so is only useful for guiding you into restful

3) Lack of programmability limits the product's usefulness.

I usually don't have a hard time sleeping, but when I do, I listen to this audio. It works to put me to sleep every time.
Also, I use this audio when I'm meditating and it helps put me into a more relaxed state of mind. Highly recommended!

great night
I used to use sound machines to fall asleep. This is much better! Relaxing and non distracting. It is a great purchase if you have trouble turning off your thoughts.

Interesting sounds but I can't sleep to it!
