5.0 out of 5 stars I can sleep better now!
All thanks to this sleep guard, I don't wake up in the morning with splitting headaches and jaw pain anymore. This sleep guard is adjustable and fits on my molars perfectly. Many times I was unconscious about grinding my teeth (aka: bruxism). Even when I yawned, I grinded my teeth (weird but it happened). I sleep with this in my mouth for 3 nights and my mouth muscles are...

3.0 out of 5 stars Good, but not Great
I ordered this item and within 2 days, arrived at my door. Very fast. With that said, this is my second in 1 month. I chewed through the other one really fast.

I find if you leave it in your mouth and get "acclimated" to its presence, you will have a better chance of finding it still in your mouth in the morning and with less chewing.

I sleep with this in my mouth for 3 nights and my mouth muscles are properly trained to keep the teeth apart while sleeping. This is my second one that I purchased ( I somehow lost the first one). Overall, definetly worth the money.

4.0 out of 5 stars Comfortable therapy for nighttime jaw clenching, October 21, 2005

I bought this Sleep Right product after trying The Doctor's Night Guard. The Sleep Right guard is well worth the extra money, much more comfortable, and I plan to stick with it. The guard pretty much fits right out of the box, and is only slightly bulky in the mouth. The only room for improvement would be reducing the bulkiness in the cheeks, which is visible when I wear the guard.

The bite pad rests between the molars, and allows my jaw to relax during the night so I have less tension in my neck in the morning. My jaw and neck feel noticably better in the morning than they did with my first night guard.

5.0 out of 5 stars Better than boilers!, December 22, 2006
By

I started grinding my teeth at night while studying for the Bar Exam (yeah, guess you could say I was stressed ... ).

I went through 2 different models of the boiler mouth guards (you boil the mold, bite it, and then immerse in water to set it) but really didn't like them, and they seemed flimsy.

Ultimately, I found this sleepguard model online and tried it out. It was soooo much better! Instead of fitting over all you teeth, it just creates an overall gap by keeping your back molars apart.

This model was a keeper. I don't use it anymore because I stopped grinding after the exam - either because the stress was gone or because this trained me not to ... but whatever the case, if I had to buy one again, it would definitely be this model. I was very very pleased with it.

4.0 out of 5 stars So far so good, July 30, 2005

My husband has been using this for 1 week+, to prevent grinding his teeth at night. He had tried a cheaper $30 home fitted night guard that he could never get to fit right (required boiling etc.). This one is more expensive, but very simple, no boiling or fitting involved. It takes a little getting used to, but the brochure that comes with it goes over that, and encourages users to put it in 30 minutes before bed each night to become accustomed to it. And hey, it's alot cheaper than the $900 system the dentist wanted to fit him with!

5.0 out of 5 stars Keeps me from grinding my teeth. . . that's all I need!, December 22, 2006
Ever since my mom passed away, it seemed like I was grinding my teeth in bed without me even noticing. I would wake up with deep headaches and bad toothaches. It got to the point where instead of grinding away at the ends of my teeth, I was actually grinding them so hard that I would explode them at the gumline, causing immense pain from exposed roots and nerves. UGH. I had about five back teeth pulled, thinking that it would be the end all, but then I just started grinding the rest of them. I finally bought this Night Guard, and now that I have it set comfortably, I no longer wake up in the middle of the night clutching my mouth and my head in excruciating pain. Honestly, unless you're a really mild grinder, you probably have to get a new one of these every six months to a year, but that's a small price to pay for such a wonderful device.

4.0 out of 5 stars I like it, December 26, 2005

Had been using the cheap sports guards at night for teeth clenching, but they were bulky and could be uncomfortable. The Sleep Right Dental Night Guard is far less apparant and actually prevents grinding rather than just placing a barrier between the top and bottom teeth while grinding. I wish it were slightly more "fitted" as it is fairly flexible and feels a little flimsy. All in all, happy to have found it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Product, February 21, 2006
By
I bought this product for myself 6 weeks ago. I waited this long before writing so I could honestly say if it worked or not. I've used other bite guards and was leary of purchasing one that said it would "fit right out of the box", but I was pleasantly surprised. It actually does fit, with no boiling or adjusting. It is flexible yet firm enough so I don't grind. I will never buy any other kind after having this one. I highly recommend this product.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Buy, July 18, 2007
This review is from: SleepRight Standard Select Night Guard, Cinnamon (Health and Beauty)
I grind and clench my teeth a great deal. I have been wearing a night guard from the dentist for 20 some years but still had trouble since the night guard from the dentist did not help my clenching of the teeth. This is my second one. The first one I wore every night and wore it out within a year. The second one I purchased I wear every couple nights and it is holding up well. You don't need it every night. My jaw has not been sore like it was with the night guard from the dentist. I should not crack any more of my teeth while using this night guard.

I would give it a 4 but it's not durable enough. I'll see how long this one lasts. I would be very happy if it lasted 6 months.

I had my dentist make me a night guard when he told me I grind my teeth but it felt uncomfortable so I stop wearing it. Now my teeth started bothering me because of all the years of grinding. I couldn't chew 'hard' food on my right side. I started to use a set of teeth whitening trays that I had to protect my teeth and they worked OK. My teeth started to get better but these trays (which are fairly thin anyway) started to get even thinner. I saw this night guard which is different that the other ones which you boil. I tried it and have been using it for about two months. I like it. Its more comfortable and is thick enough to protect my teeth. The mint flavor disappeared after a short while which is fine by me. Its worth giving a try. I've checked the portion that one bites down on and so far, there is no apparent wear on it so this one should last me for a while.
