5.0 out of 5 stars absolutely worthwhile
Customer Video Review     Length:: 0:20 Mins
I was very concerned about the length of the product after reading all the reviews but i decided to buy it anyway. I have my 16mo son try the large size (12-18 month)on. He is about 31-32" tall. his feet absolutely stretch out the blanket and can walk perfectly as if he didn't wear this at all. It is still big, the body part will drop down but...

3.0 out of 5 stars Don't buy for a 12-18 month old
The sleep sack is made well with a good quality fleece. No part of the zipper touches the baby as it is lined. It is overall a great product, however, it is extremely long. 3.0 out of 5 stars Don't buy for a 12-18 month old, September 8, 2010

The sleep sack is made well with a good quality fleece. No part of the zipper touches the baby as it is lined. It is overall a great product, however, it is extremely long. I had read reviews describing how large the sack is before I purchased it, but I thought that it would fit my taller 13 month old well, especially since the product description states it is suitable for children 30-35" in height. Our baby is 31.5" tall and might be able to wear it next year. The bottom part (zipper between the leg openings) drags on the ground and caused my child to trip constantly during the 5-minute trial. Also, the leg openings are too big to fit snugly around her ankles. It simply does not fit a 12-18 month old baby.
I give it three stars for the disappointment, misleading info about the size, and the annoyance of possibly having to purchase something else for the winter.

5.0 out of 5 stars My favorite Halo, December 17, 2008
I've been using Halo sleepsacks ever since my now 18 month old was a newborn. Once she was able to stand in her crib I worried about her tripping in her regular sleep sack. I love the Early Walker sleepsack because it gives her the comfort she knows and loves of a sleepsack, but she can get up and walk around in her crib before I get her up in the morning. She also loves to walk around in it before bedtime as she winds down for the day.

This review is from: HALO SleepSack Micro-Fleece Early Walker Wearable Blanket, Baby Blue, Large (Baby Product)
I bought this because my son was 23 pounds and 27.5 inches at 7 months, and nothing in the stores would fit him. I got the large size one, and it is enormous (he will probably be wearing it until he's about 2)! He definitely has room to grow in it, so that will save me money in the long run. Although it is still very large on him, it doesn't bunch up around his face regardless of how much rolling around and pre-crawl rocking he does, so no worries there. The fleece keeps him warm enough so that he only wears a t-shirt and diaper underneath (it's August right now), but I will probably end up including pajama pants underneath in the winter. The inverted zipper is nice because I can change his diaper without uncovering his trunk. He is only 8 months old right now, so I can't comment on the handiness to walking children that this blanket is, but if you have a large baby that doesn't fit into any of the store-available sleep sacks, this thing is definitely the way to go!

2.0 out of 5 stars Great idea but not for Early Walkers, June 25, 2010

I was so excited to see these- my dd has been standing for a month now and her regular sacks drive her crazy, not to mention the bruises she has from falling while trying to stand in them. Unfortunately they are HUGE. I bought the 12-18 month thinking that since she was wearing 12 month clothing this would work fine. WRONG- its enourmous. I'm not sure when, if ever, she'll wear it.

5.0 out of 5 stars A sleep sack for older babies, March 1, 2009

I have used sleep sacks with my son since he stopped being swaddled, and he's almost 2 now. I love the fact that the blanket stays on him and doesn't get kicked off. When he started walking I was concerned that he would stand up in his crib and trip on the sleep sack, so I was thrilled when I found the walker version. It has kept my son comfy and cozy all winter. This is a great product!

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Product, but follow weight/height guidelines for sizing, rather than the age guidelines, November 20, 2010

As with the Halo Sleepsacks for younger babies, the Early Walker model is made of quality fleece. Because I didn't like the bright colors offered for the 2T-5T set, I checked out the sizing for the "Early Walkers." My daughter, at 27 months, is obviously too old for these if one judges solely by the age guidelines. On Halo's own webpage, however, I learned that the 18-24 size is designed to fit children who are 26-36 pounds and 35"-40." (For comparison, the 2/3T "Big Kid" model is aimed at children 25-40 pounds and 25"-40." So there's clearly a lot of overlap here.) My daughter is a very tall two-year old, but by looking at these weight and height guidelines, I was able to determine that the 18-24 month size would fit her well (and, I can confirm that it does, in actuality, fit her well!).

5.0 out of 5 stars GREAT PRODUCT! Restful nights for baby and mommy!, November 28, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This is one of the best baby products I've purchased. My daughter is currently 16 mo old and tall for her age - about 33". However, despite the reviews that this product is big, I would have loved putting her in it months ago if the weather had warranted. Yes - it's a bit big on, but it's supposed to be a blanket layer, not snug pajamas. Being a little big gives her room to roll around and not get caught in it. The foot holes are awesome. I don't pull her feet all the way through, so they stay warm, but it allows her to move around and even stand in her crib when she wakes up without tripping or anything. Not only is she staying asleep longer on chilly mornings, but I'm sleeping better too not worrying about her being cold because she's rolled out of the extra blanket I put on her (which always happens!).

I just bought another one of these today. LOVE IT!

4.0 out of 5 stars The length is just right for sleeping., September 3, 2011

I too read the reviews AFTER ordering this product so I was scared to death that it was going to come and be way too big. I ordered the XL (18-24 months) for my 20 month old who is around 24 lbs and 33 inches or so. Her regular size large sleep sack was just getting way too short. I am definately not new to Halo Sleep Sacks as my older daughter who is now 5 1/2 used one from birth until she was at least 3 years old too.
I disagree with the others who feel this product is way oversized. Yes, it stretches about 3 inches or so longer than she is, but that is how all sleep sacks are supposed to fit so that they have a little room to kick around in it when sleeping. I only put her feet through the leg holes when she is out of her crib walking around and it does drag on the floor a little bit but doesn't seem to trip her up when walking.
Overall I am pleased with this product and the size. I feel like I wouldn't have gotten much use out of it if I had sized down like others suggested. Like others, however, I do wish that it came in a lighter weight fabric as well. The fleece is a bit heavy for our southern summers.
