I ordered the mattress pad on Friday and received it on Tuesday. I'm totally happy with how quickly it arrived and it's condition. It's for my daughter at college and (so far) she's thrilled with it. I'm glad that I read other reviews and ordered the 3" twin XL... it should fit perfectly. The best part of this is that, after shopping around, this was the best price that I could find and it doesn't appear to be any different from the higher priced foam mattress pads.

This stuff is great. I would suggest 3" at a minimum. Anything less is just too thin. Note that it will take on many of the properties of whatever is underneath it. At first, I had this on top of an old mattress. This was actually a vast improvement, but still not what I expected. I read online that people have been ordering regular foam mattresses (like packing foam) and using those as the base. I tried that out and WOW! what a difference! Be sure to get something fairly dense for the base. Otherwise, you'll get that weird "sinking" feeling when you lay down. The topper/base combination has been an amazing success. I know it's a cliche, but it's literally like sleeping on a cloud :)

Great purchase. I bought this a while back when I went to college and lived on campus. The beds they had at school were your typical hard dorm style mattress and were a pain to sleep on. This foam mattress topper worked wonders, alleviating back pain and helping me sleep a little better at night. My friends and roommates were impressed at how comfortable it made the bed become. Now, this memory foam isn't the most quality stuff, but at the price it's well worth it. I would suggest not getting anything thinner than the 3" foam, since it's more supportive than the thinner toppers and because it's not a high quality memory foam, thickness makes a difference. I had a thinner foam topper before this and it helped, but nowhere near as much as this did. This is a great purchase, whether you're going off to college or even if you happen to own a twin xl bed at home.

My husband and I have been sharing the same extremely firm bed for years, but after a hotel stay on a wonderful and softer mattress, I became determined to find a solution for our widely divergent preferences. The cost of the Sleep Number bed was out of the question, and even if my husband suddenly developed a love of softness, the Tempur-pedic bed was also far too expensive for us.

The twin size memory foam mattress topper was a wonderful compromise. In a king size bed, it takes up roughly half the bed, leaving him with plenty of firm mattress to sleep on. New sheets are made for toppers, and both the mattress pad and fitted sheet fit over it well, if snugly. It is extremely comfortable. I look forward to going to bed and fall asleep much more quickly. In warm weather it tends to retain a little more body heat than the old mattress, but that just means I need fewer covers.

I had not heard about the strong chemical smell that emanates from the memory foam till after it arrived. It's called "off gassing" and it was a little intense. The toppers require "airing out" for two days to two weeks (I aired mine out on our deck for 10 days). Now, from underneath the fitted sheet and padded mattress pad, I rarely catch a whiff of it, though I did tuck a sachet packet into my pillowcase just in case!

It was a minimal investment for such a successful outcome. I would highly recommend it.

I've only had this product for a few nights but am very pleased. The smell is a bit strong at first but it's lessening. This topper has improved the comfort level of my bed immensely. Took a bit to receive it, but I am very pleased.

I looked around for a long time before deciding to purchase this topper. I made sure I ordered a 4lb topper, and although it has made a big difference, it's not as good of quality as I was expecting. But, overall, I'm very happy with it.

We bought it for our 10-year-old. He loves it. The price was good. What else can we say?
