A True Bodice Ripper,
By Merry Reader "Sissy" (Indianapolis IN USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Sleeping Fire (Harlequin Romance, No. 2292) (Paperback)
Oh my Lee Palmer's boss Adam Broome actually rips the dress off of her back.
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no!!! Yes, she doesn't even think of charging him with sexual harassment, because that didn't exist then. But I believe the law would have been on her side if she had reported it. He even threatened to fire her if she didn't appear on a talk show. After he had bent her over her desk in a sexual clench. From the back of the book: '"He's here! They say he's a terror." Lee's secretary warned her of the arrival of Adam Broome, new owner of the publishing company for which they worked. Adam, known as the "new Broome" had left a chaos of reorganization in his wake at the other company magazine offices. The staff of Lively Lady was justifiably nervous. From that first wary meeting with compellingly powerful Adam Broome, Lee knew her life would be changed. Though she tried to be open-minded, she wasn't sure she would ;ole the change...' |
