This is one of the most beautiful books of poetry I've ever read. Colleen McElroy knows how to paint masterpieces with her images. I would highly recommend this book

Loved this book. gave me hope that poetry can be entertaining and something a reader can pick up like one might pick up a favorite novel. versatile book- all over the place in terms of subject matter; a bit of traveloguing (is that a word?) about the places the author's visited, sensual/sexuality (always sells but more importantly makes the poet sound like a REAL FREAKING PERSON that non-poets could relate to), issues of race and growing up black in America.
