4.0 out of 5 stars Pretty good overview, July 11, 2006
Eventhough not all songs are as great as some of Seattle's grunge hype brought us, this CD is sure worth a good listen. From the early recordings of Mr Eff and Malfunkshun to the more friendly grunge noise of The Gits, Supersuckers and 7 Year Bitch, you will jump up and down in your seat while listening. And yes, it is nice to find a CD without the Big Three (or Four) from Seattle

5.0 out of 5 stars Haha first review., May 17, 2006
By Joe Blob (Somewhere) - See all my reviews
I love this album, Especially Orange Airplane and Grinding Process, Orange Airplane from the Trees is like a pyschedelic rock song with westcoast punk influences...I think that's probably the best description...it's from Clairvoyance before they signed to a major label...Grinding Process is a freakishly slow dark and heavy song and is one of my favourites from the Melvins...I love the fact that it's possible to have a grunge compilation without a token Nirvana song. (I love Nirvana i'm just saying.)

5.0 out of 5 stars grunge memories, December 14, 2007
I moved to Washington State on 1988, and was introduced to some incredible music from the Seattle scene. I have searched for this album, and luckily found it on Amazon. It includes some unknowns like 7-year bitch, to some more known, like Soundgarden. Grunge isn't for everyone. It's a combination of rock and punk. But we owe alot to this genre, because it started the Alternative movement. I'm a dedicated fan, forever. Thanks Amazon.
