This well-written, believable book will appeal to thriller fans because of its good characterizations and horror elements that are never out of bounds. A summer job as companion to weird old Mrs. Cottler (who lives on Fear Street) becomes upsetting to Mayra, and she begins to sleepwalk at night after having nightmares. The job really becomes frightening when Mayra's best friend is mistaken for her and is nearly killed in an automobile accident. Although the real villain and his machinations are rather superimposed, Stine writes a good story. That's the question I asked myself when I read this book. I think this is a well-written book by R.L. Stine. It's full of mystery and that's the reason I liked it. I like to read thrilling and mystery books. Just like this one. This book is about a teenage girl named Mayra who starts working with a lady named Mrs. Cottler. Since that day, Mayra starts sleepwalking every night and having nightmares. She starts to think that Mrs. Cottler is the one who made her sleepwalk for all the weird things that Mrs. Cotter has in her house. For example some black candles. One day Mayra goes to Mrs. Cottler's room and she's like in a trance. Another day Mayra finds some books of sleepwalkers and witchcraft on Mrs. Cottler's room. Is Mrs. Cottler the person who is making Mayra sleepwalk every night? You'll have to read this book to find out. I recommend this book to everyone who likes to read thrilling books. You'll enjoy it.

I read this book and it was very strange. The girl starts sleepwalking and then she would have a dream about the lake on Fear Street. One night she was sleepwalking and found out that she wasn't dreaming she was in the water and she almosted drowned. She thought she was dreaming but it was real and it was pretty freaky too. This book is so good and very strange.

One week after she starts her summer job at Mrs. Cottler's house, Mayra Barnes starts to sleepwalk and she wakes up outside her house. Mayra thinks Mrs. Cottler is casting a spell on her since her mother once took care of Mrs. Cottler and she thinks she is getting her revenge by casting a spell on Mayra. To make things worse, a strange man seems to be following her but Mayra doesn't know him. Mayra's friend is mysteriously run down by the same man.

I say the book is crazy since the explanations done by the strange man(not the real villain) were nonesense. He was trying to scare her friend by running her down? There were other parts that didn't make sense to me. How in the world did Hazel the cat make it back to Mrs. Cottler's house when the cat was injured by the villain?
