Excellent true crime book!,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: The Sleepwalker (Mass Market Paperback)
"The Sleepwalker" by June Callwood is the story of a man who slept-drove 14 miles to his in-laws where he killed his mother-in-law and almost killed his father-in-law. The crime(?) took place in 1987 and the book was written in 1990. Because the book was published in Canada, it was not easy to find. I kept searching for sleepwalking murderers (I know of two in the United States - Scott Falater and Steven Steinberg). The name "Ken Parks" kept coming up in the searches and lo and behold, I found a book about him and purchased a used copy on Amazon. I really enjoyed the book. I give it a 5 because it was so well written. It held my interest and I couldn't put it down. I was disappointed in the ending. I'd be interested to know how long the marriage between Ken and Karen (the victim's daughter) Parks lasted after his trial (I would sure have a hard time staying married to the guy who killed my mom; not only that, he is one scary huge dude [like Andre the Giant huge] and I don't care how nice they say he was.
