How to make your pad's last longer and never wear out.

The secret is this; prior to using them, rub the pads down
with rubbing alcohol. Make sure they are soaked and then
rub your skin down with it to. May take a few minutes for
them to work, so be patient. You will never have to buy
another set of pads.

Before I bought this item, I kept seeing people complain that the pads wore out so quickly. I saw some people that said that they drenched the pads in rubbing alcohol to make them last longer. Others online recommended using window cleaner after each use. And still others said to use water based lubricant. I tried the rubbing alcohol and window cleaner and that didn't really work well because if you were using a towel to apply the stuff to the pads, the towel would stick and leave residue on the pads. The water based lubricants would probably be too messy. After thinking about it some more, I came up with the perfect solution. I found something that combines all the things everyone else had recommended (or elements of each) in a nice, none messy solution... so if you want to keep your slendertone pads working for a very, very long time, just use PURELL (OR ANY ALCOHOL BASED HAND SANITIZER) after each use. Put a couple drops on there, rub it on the pad to cover the surface and then wipe off the excess or just let it dry. No dripping mess, no towels sticking to the pads and no mess on you either. Works like a charm and the pads become sticky and work like new each time. I haven't had to replace any of my pads in months and months.

I have used both a Gymbody and now the System Abs. There is no question these products do not remove fat from your body. If you've got a set of love handles or a full blown spare tire, this product does not get rid of it. What it does is help you tone your abs. From my own experience, I know it's true [as the surgeon who installed a PEG feeding tube into my stomach told my wife: "Your husband has the stomach muscles of a 20-year-old." I am 53]. Does it replace situps and crunches and exercise wheels? No. But it sure makes those things more effective. But here's my question: why is it cheaper to buy the replacement gel pads by the single-pack, as opposed to the three-pack? Not by much mind you, but still cheaper [as of 10.26.08].

I research several places that sell the replacement pads for the Slendertone belt and Amazon has the best pricing.

You can make the pads last longer by washing them with liquid soap when they
lose there stickyness.

You can use these on the waist belt and also works for the arm system - just cut
the large one in half.

I bought 2 sets of the gel pads so I have enough to last a long time for I have the waist and arm systems. Both are a great product that I am glad to own.

I used set 1 yesterday, and I could BARELY feel the device working! I had to put my machine up to 100 to get a TINY workout that lasted 5-6 minutes at the most. The pads are WAY TOOO STICKY too... they will stick to my skin, and come right off of the belt ((YES they were on the right side)). After fully charging my device, I tried again and the same thing happened... so I threw those pads out and am on set 2. These pads are also very sticky ((too bad they stick to me and not the belt)). I can feel when my machine is at 80, which only lasts for a few minutes as well, then I have to keep turning it up until I get to 100. The set of pads that came with the machine when I purchased it were amazing... they lasted for months ((several 60 minute sessions)). I will NEVER buy this set of 3 again... I thought I was getting a deal, when in reality I was completely ripped off!!!!!!!!

I've been using the slendertone belt for over a year now and I've seen positive results. The pads are a bit on the expensive side but if you're serious about using the belt there's no way around using the pads. I must say that the recent order of pads I received seem much thinner and are not lasting as long as they once did. I use my belt 3x a day for the full 40 minutes each time so I do expect them to wear down fast,...but it seems they pads are being made thinner than before.

Overall, you'll be pleased.

the Gel Pad was dry not enough Gel in the Pad, I used it for few times to be more specific 7 times, and I have to replace it next week, the older one I used it for 45 days, the quality is poor compare to other Gel pads. Don't not recommends to buy from this seller

I bought it from amazon its great, i love it. i used it everyday with my abs belt and the price is wonderful.

These pads are awful! They are very thin and won't stick very well to the belt. They wear out fast. I will never buy these again.
