I bought this product with high expectations - and was let down. First off, this is a very small pan. It probably holds the volume of an 8x8...but it is very shallow. It comes in 4 pieces, which are all very flimsy - so thin that the "insert" was already bent upon arrival. Ok...so it looks cheap...but does it work? After a couple of bakings, I noted some very important things. First off...the servings have NO edges on the interior. As a "corner brownie" fan I was pumped about the potential here...but really you still only get the four real corners here. I guess the little metal wall doesn't hold enough heat to assist in baking at all...it really just acts as a cutter/divider. It did do a fine job of separating the pan into 18 tiny brownie bites. However, cleaning this contraption isn't a breeze. I tried gently hand washing, and bent up the insert again. I also tried the dishwasher (which it says you can use on the box), but that managed to blast off some of the nonstick coating. Ugh.

I should have known that you don't need a 4 piece machine to make good brownies. This one is way more trouble than it's worth - and I would say it's not worth very much.

When I first saw this product I said, "How hard is it to slice your own brownies? Really!" But, I ended up getting it so I could make a bunch of different kinds of brownies at once. After pouring in the batter and inserting the divider, I topped each brownie with Reese's Pieces, Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, Skor, Twix, Caramello, or Junior Mints. After they baked and cooled, I followed the instructions to remove the divider (slid out like a charm!) and then set the pan on the small side of the cooling rack, which lifts the removable bottom up from the pan, making it easy to get right at your brownies.

I am now obsessed with this pan--in love with those perfect little slices and exact right angles. I like everything just so, and this pan caters to my perfectionist nature.

It's worth mentioning that you can use the pan without the dividers, just as a regular old baking pan. The removable bottom is cool, so it's super easy to release the baked goods. And, with the divider, I keep thinking how great the pan would be for kids' birthday parties, get-togethers, and picnics. Just take along the whole thing, and remove the divider on site--no worrying about ruining your baked goods along the way.

I didn't have any issues with the washing of the pan. Because I coated everything with nonstick spray, there wasn't much stuck on. I just hand washed it. I used a bottle brush on the divider.

Size-wise, the pan is only 11x7, but it was the right size for a "family-size" box of brownie mix or one loaf of quick bread.

The concept of this is a great. It is made of non stick metal which can easily be cleaned but it is not very strong and can be bent easily. I wondered how the bottom of the tray would be able to hold the brownie mixture without dripping out of the "open bottom" pan since the plate just sits on it. My question was answered after the first use. I found crusted burnt brownie mix all over the bottom of my oven. I am going to continue using this because it will cut the brownies to a perfect size and they easily slide off the pan but make sure to place the pan on a baking sheet while baking to avoid a mess.

If you can't cut neat looking brownies (like me)and you don't care about portion control, this is the gadget for you. It works GREAT, and I haven't had any problems with leakage as one person mentioned.

However, I bought this for one purpose. I'm on Weight Watchers and wanted this for portion control. It does make 18 brownies, bars, or cornbread slices, and all very neat. However, they're not all the same size. The insert isn't adjustable, and the middle row brownies are bigger in size than the 2 outer rows. Thus, brownies that aren't really the same size. And you can't tell this by looking at the picture. In fact, the pic on the box (and on this website) appears they're either even, or if anything, they could be slightly larger on the outside. It's an illusion. They don't come out looking quite this way.

Still a good value if you don't care about portion control. It's easy to use, and fairly easy to clean. I had to re-wash it, due to all the corners you have to clean, but it's non-stick so it could be a lot worse.

Would I buy it again? Probably, simply because it will be handy when making brownies for an event. However, I am a little put out that the portions aren't divided equally. And that there's no information telling this anywhere on the package.

This is such a great pan I'm here to order another one!
This no fuss , no muss pan does all the work for me, I do lay a cut to size piece of parchment paper under the bottom of pan and have had no drips or leakage.
The rack to slide sides down is great and oh how nice to lift the cutters and have perfectly sliced pieces do be sure to let your baked good cool for at least 15 or 20 minutes before removing the separater.
Have made brownies, cake as well as cornbread so far.
This is a great kitchen helper.

The pan leaks into the oven as it cooks the brownies. The pan delivers what it promises...easy removal of brownies. Would not buy it again!

i must be fair and say that i have not purchased this product, but was given the opportunity to use it from a friend who shares my love for new gadgets and kitchen tools. (i brought my "create and celebrate" pan to her house so we could try them both out.) the idea of this product is great (pre-sliced goodies), but the design is horrible. it reminds me of my mother's old ice-cube trays. (if you're older than 50, you'll remember the old metal kind looked very similar). the slats and blades of this apparatus are very fragile and it took us almost 15 minutes to wash them thoroughly. the time it takes to clean this pan is FAR longer than the time it would take you to cut brownies the old-fashioned way in a standard 10 inch square pan. the individual brownies you get with this pan are merely bite-sized, and if you prefer them slightly under-done and gooey (yum!!) you'll quickly become frustrated with the amount of scrubbing and wiping that's necessary. if you have this pan, i recommend soaking it for at least 30 minutes before attempting to clean it... that helped us quite a bit.

I absolutely LOVE this brownie pan! I have used it almost everyday since I received it. I have used it for many different types of brownies and it is fun to use and not messy at all. I have added different toppings to each brownie square (M&M's, chocolate chips, etc.) and they look so pretty and professional! I have also made carrot cake in this pan and it turned out great! I am going to order 4 more pans - 2 for me and 2 for gifts! I bake a lot and brownies are my speciality and I highly recommend this pan!

Don't waste your money! Just use a spatuala. For anyone who bakes using a box, an 11x7 pan isn't a standard pan size. It's actually pretty small, and it doesn't work like it shows. You have to spray the entire insert or it sticks to the insert, and it was more work and mess than it was worth. A spatula works so much better!

Love how it makes perfectly cut brownies, but the black pan causes the brownies to cook faster so my first batch had the outer brownies come out as hard as hockey pucks.
