Amazon.com Product Description

Slider The Unscooter is the new, unique way to scoot along sidewalks and streets. It's designed to propel you without your feet touching the ground via its three wheels thanks to its patented scissor-style Action Decks. It features dual handle brakes for optimal safety, pivoting 5-inch wheels for three-wheel steering for maximum maneuverability, and sturdy steel construction. This U5 model is designed for ages 5 and older, up to 125 pounds.

To get going, push both feet out on the Action Decks as far as you can and then pull them all the way in--the scissoring motion will start to propel you forward. You can also push each foot independently for rollerblading-style action, orplant both feet firmly on the Action Decks and shift your body in a skying motion--excellent for cross-training.

Product Description

Slider The Unscooter is the Best Action & Fitness Product of 2007. A Three-wheel action scooter with removable handle pole and handle bars, and the only one of it's kind with dual handbrakes, three-wheel steering and 'Action Decks' TM technology designed to propel you without your feet touching the ground -- Scissor Action: Pivot both feet all the way out then all the way back in -- Roller Blading Action: Steer and pivot to the left as you shift your weight to your right leg and push out to the right, then steer and pivot to the right while shifting your weight to your left leg and pushing out to the left -- Slalom Action: Same as Roller Blading Action except you shift your weight and both feet to one side then the other - like skiing. Turning: Slow turns are accomplished normally by turning the handlebars in the direction you wish to turn while keeping your feet shoulder width apart. Faster turns will require some practice since the rear wheels will also begin to steer in an arc around the front wheel; use the brakes to slow and begin by turning in the opposite direction (countersteer) to slow the rate at which the back pivots around. Always lean forward and into the direction you wish to go while pushing out with the outside foot. www.unscooter.com

This scooter has been a lemon from the start. It breaks every other week or so!! Terrible product that is cheaply designed.

1.0 out of 5 stars Nonexistant customer support, horrible quality, false advertising, February 23, 2010

This review is from: Slider The Unscooter U5 Three-Wheeled Action Scooter (5-Inch Wheels) (Sports)
We bought the U8 Slider The Unscooter from Amazon.com for Christmas 2009, and it arrived with the front fork bent and the bearings hanging out of the fork tube. Also, the unscooter is advertised as having two brakes controlling the rear wheels, but it has apparently been re-designed, and now only has a single brake controlling the front wheel. I contacted Unscooter, who agreed to send out replacement parts by January 25th. They never did send the parts (as of Feb 23,2010), and won't respond to further emails. They do not have a phone number to call. The unscooter is a great concept and should have been great, but quite frankly it is cheaply made, falsely advertised, and they don't honor their warranty. Apparently the company is under incompetent management. I am astonished that a great company like Amazon.com would allow this product to be sold on their website. The UnScooter is UnWorthy of being marketed to consumers.
