5.0 out of 5 stars Works great for me
Very happy with my purchase. Buy one, you wont be sorry. Very usable filter. A 'pro' may argue otherwise, but from my point of view I can't see me upgrading from this for a few years yet! I run it on my Digital Rebel and have gotten great results so far.

3.0 out of 5 stars Get what you paid.
This is a glass polarizing filter. It rotates to give you more or less polarization, the problem is that there is not much difference at all when rotating the filter. If you can't afford a more expensive filter buy this one, if you can spend more skip this one and go for a Hoya or Tiffen.

4.0 out of 5 stars Sunpak Circular Polarizer Lens Filter, April 14, 2010

I originally was going to purchase a Canon lens filter but thought I would try Sunpak, mainly because of both the price and good reviews. I am now glad that I made the purchase. It is exactly what I was looking for and not too expensive. It works wonderfully with my Canon Rebel XT camera. Pictures taken outdoors look clearer, colors more colorful, and it takes the glare off of anything photographed on a sunny day. Worked great for water pictures also. Wish it had come with a soft carrying pouch instead of hard case though.

5.0 out of 5 stars A nice CPL filter., June 15, 2010

This is a very good CPL filter and it is reasonably priced. Takes good pics and shows good color saturation and contrast without any noticeable distortions. Built quality is good, fits perfectly on Canon 18-55mm and 50-250mm IS lenses. Easy to put on and remove from the lens and has a smooth ring at the top for effect adjustment. See uploaded customer image for results. A worth buy on Amazon

Less can sometimes be more.
This is a filter on the low end of the price points available.
It is a good product, I'm not sure what spending twice as much gets you in this catagory.
It works as well as any other I have used in the 1980's.
Buy this, and the money you save can be used to buy additional equipment.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Polarizer, February 17, 2006

I am happy with my purchase. The product is built well and does what a polarizer should. The filter rotates with enough resistance so it's easy to move, yet enough to hold it in place so it doesn't move on its own. It contains no coatings, though there really isn't any need for them.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sunpak, September 18, 2010
This review is from: Sunpak CF-7059-CP Camera Filter (Electronics)
I had been into SLR photography back in the 80's and 90's, but very recently got into digital SLRs due to a great deal at Sam's Club (Canon Rebel XS with case, wide angle + telephoto for $ 599). When I looked at some of the prices for a circular polarizer, I was shocked back to the '80's. I decided to go with a Sunpack and for the price and I am very pleased. It does what is supposed to do and is well made. I also got a Sunpak UV filter and a non-Canon extra battery for the XS for around $33 for the battery and the 2 filters. I plan on buying the 2 filters for the other lens so I don't have to keep swaping the filters.

4.0 out of 5 stars Definitely worth it, July 3, 2010

This is the first polarized lens filter I've ever tried, let alone owned, and I'm happy with it. It doesn't eliminate all glare/reflections (I don't know if the really expensive ones do either), but it does take a lot of it out, and deepens a blue sky nicely. The outer rim is metal, so its sufficiently durable. I believe the "lens" is plastic, but I don't notice any degradation in quality. All you do is attach it to your lens, then rotate the filter until it blocks out the desired amount of unwanted reflected light.
The only reason I don't give this the full 5 stars is because I wish it did take out all glare, but that may just be stupid on my part.

Great filter, solid build, I am happy with Sunpak and will continue to purchase future filters from them. Don't have any other brand so can't really compare them, but from some of the other reviews read about others I can't see them being better than this-good glass, solid metals and good tolerances on the build.

3.0 out of 5 stars great lens but unstable., May 22, 2009

I purchased this lens for my Sony DSC H20b. It's a great buy and works well, but the lens is unstable. It mounts perfect on my telephoto/wide angle, and lens adapter, but if you pull on it slightly it comes off. I'm not sure if this filter will secure better on other model cameras, but would hate to see someone drop and break an expensive lens for not having the filter mounted tightly.
