This album is an outstanding collection of Slim Whitman's hits. His unmistakable voice comes through loud and clear. What's really nice is that each track progresses through his earliest to his most recent recordings. The price for this collection is almost unbelievable. A first class bargain.

This is a very nice compilation of Slims music, It is well presented as is any of Slim Whitmans music available around the world, A must for the country music lover.

The lead song on the album was featured in the movie, Mars Attacks! The nasty little bastards from Mars really had us going until they ran afoul of the dulcet tones of Slim Whitman yodeling, When I'm Calling You. That did it -- heads began to explode left and right and Earth was saved. Which is to say you owe it to Slim Whitman to buy this album. You won't be sorry, either. All of the oldies Slim sings are classics and his vocal stylings make this album a must have for your library.

Those who only remember Slim Whitman as the Martian-killing yodeling voice in 'Mars Attacks!' are in desperate need of a musical education. This guy is the best country and western singer of all time, and this is a nice way to get introduced to his music (and hey, it even has that same goofy song from the movie as the very first track! Who'd a thunk it...)

Come on now, we've all seen the movie "Mars Attacks"(which was a spoof on the classic 50's film "War Of The Worlds") and for those who haven't seen Mars Attacks, it is hearing Slim Whitman's version of "Indian Love Call" that kills the aliens, they can't take how bad our popular music is(but they are completely amune to all our pollution). I think that film sort of gave Whitman a "cult" following for the 20 & 30 somethings like myself. He's so bad, he's good. He sings and always sort of just goes into these subtle yodels, and the haunting steel guitar(which paint pictures of spaceships in one's heaed). His Indian Love Call will always be associated with killing the aliens in that film, just think if aliens attacked our planet, all we have to do is pull out our Slim Whitman records... Still this cd is worth picking up, it's campy and fun as heck!
