While on our annual motorcycle trip, one of our crew got a flat rear tire on his 2011 Harley ElectraGlide Limited. We pulled into a small gas station and surveyed the problem and found a huge nail in the middle of the tread of the rear tire. The station's air hose was on the fritz so I pulled out the Slime kit and we went to work. The guy had a plug kit but no way to air the tire up.
Slime pump to the rescue! Our bikes were loaded down with alot of gear for our trip so we were pleasantly surprised at how well the little Slime pump aired up the tire.
It took a few minutes but brought it up to 36 pounds without much effort.
One thing you need to be aware of is how HOT the brass hose connection gets after its been pumping for awhile. There's a little black tag on the air hose that says HOT but
I picked it up to see what it said and fried my fingers in the process. The instructions also say not to operate for more than 8 minutes. The tire was aired up in less than that so it wasn't an issue.
I was the only one out of 14 bikers that had this kit and it sure did save the day!
Most other reviewers have never used it but love the peace of mind it brings. If you do alot of riding you need to have this kit on board! It'll keep you from being stranded!
Buy it!!!!

I initially bought this for my emergency repairs for my motorcycle but after I sold the bike I bought a Jeep. This small compressor fits in the tiny secure cubby in the back of rig. I would not recommend using this compressor to air up your tires after a day of wheeling but if you get a flat you can use it (though it takes a while) to fill your tire. Actually I use it most when I check my tire pressures and just want to add a couple of pounds. Great tiny compressor for those who don't mind waiting for a tire to fill and have limited storage space.

Like all the earlier 23 reviews, I got this kit "hoping I never need to use it". But now I have.

Long story short, three points of advice:

1 - Think about where/how you plan to power the compressor, and check that you can reach your tires from there.

2 - You must remove the puncturing object before using Slime; think about what you might need for that as well.

Based on my experience using this kit, I'm adding a 3-ft cigarette port extension cable and a small spray bottle of soapy water to use with this in the future, along with my existing set of emergency tools that included a screwdriver and pliers (vise grip).

3 - This is not a long term fix; there's a warning on the bottle not to ride over 65 MPH, and that balance might be affected if used in a front tire ("may cause excessive vibration"). Finish your ride home, or get it to a shop to do an internal patch or replacement of the tire.

My use case scenario:

Last week, while riding my motorcycle home from work in a light rain (V-Strom 650), I crossed a bridge that was undergoing some kind of resurfacing and one entire lane was missing the top layer of road. Exposed metal grating and so on jutted through old road. The lane wasn't coned off or anything, it just started being like that somewhere in the middle of the bridge and stopped being like that towards the other end of the bridge... I rode in that lane for a little while before I could find space to merge over.

My bike felt kind of wobbly as I came off the bridge, and I put it down at first to the slickness of the rain and the metal grooving on the bridge. Over the next few miles I realized it had to be low tire pressure in the rear.

Fits nicely in one of the saddlebags. Have used the inflator a few times while out of town to keep the right pressure on tires. Have not used the Slime material on a tire. Hope do not need to.

Bought this product for my husband's motorcycle. He was delighted. Works as a great emergency assistant for a low price. Takes you out of a flat tire quickly and easy. Definitely recommended.

This is a neat little/portable kit that's small enough to fit in a saddle bag of a motorcycle and it also contains a 8 oz container of Slime Tire Sealant, which by the way is only enough for just one tire repair according to the directions. The compressor is small and noisy, it can only run for 8 minutes at a time as it becomes very hot (this could be a problem if it's too hot to throw back in the saddle bag). My purchase is solely to have a repair kit on my motorcycle and to use it in an emergency only.

Good kit for a good price.

This fits easily into the saddle bags on my motorcycle and is more than powerful enough to fill the tires using the motorcycle battery as a power source

Don't like the slime part of this kit but the compressor works very well. Some engineering could be done on the hose connector that attaches to the valve stem because it is very difficult to get on and off the stem - otherwise well built. Very nice compact unit in a rugged case - carry this in the trunk of my motorcycle all the time and have used it more than I've ever wanted to but... it works well. I recommend this product!
