I bought several of these tubes about 4 months ago. We live in an area where there are tons of thorns and other prickly things in the ground and my kids love to ride their bikes in them. Prior to buying the slime tubes I was replacing about 2 tire tubes a week between our bikes and joggers. Since putting this in the tires I have not had needed a single repair, and our tires get daily use. Since I haven't needed to change them I can't comment on the mess they make. If you have the same problem with punctured tire tubes as we did I would highly recommend these!!!

Definitely works to prevent thorns but despite following directions when I deflate the tubes to replace a tire, the goo gums up the valve making it impossible to remove.

I bought these through Amazon, only to realise later that I could have bought them at Walmart for a lower price and would not have had to wait for them. Otherwise, these seem to be working great. We live in Arizona and my kids had dozens of pickers in their last set of tubes, but so far these haven't had any problems.

I was unimpressed with this tube, I was under the impression this was a heavy duty tube, it's not, when you get a small hole in your tire is spews green slime that is
not very easy to clean off and is quite messy.

It's hard to say whether the tubes are preventing flats, isn't it? All I can say is we haven't experienced any flats since putting them on. However, over time the slime gums up the valve stem, making it increasingly difficult to inflate/deflate the tire. Evetually, we had total stem failure. My husband is fed up with the slimed tires and has banned slime from the house.

Not a fan of this tube at all. Low quality and not durable at all. The green stuff is very messy too. Lasted only 2 months in a 5 year olds bike who rides the short driveway and sometimes street when I take him riding. Very cheap feeling rubber

This worked perfectly! We don't have thorns or anything that seems like it would easily cause a flat tire. However, the bikes managed to come home with a flat tire every 10-14 days! I'd planned on getting the Slime 10004 Tube Sealant - 16 oz.. The pre-filled tubes looked less messy.
It was easy to install--just like a normal tube. No extra mess. No more flat tires. Make sure you have a Minoura Tool Alloy Set Tire Levers
No complaints. Just make sure you buy the right size - check your bike tire for size info.

I use these on my bike trailer tires. All the random junk along the the road sides is hard to avoid hitting and getting flats. These tubes provide safety and added durability in what is a hostile environment for bike tires.

They don't weigh a ton, the stuff is already inside them so I don't have to worry about it, and unlike the old fashioned pink stuff Slime really works!

I buy these exclusively now for all my bikes.

These particular tubes I acted a little differently on.

I ordered a set of Slime inner tubes off of Amazon before I even bought my daughter her bicycle for Christmas. After getting the bike home I realized the tires are bigger than I usually would expect.

The tubes are advertised as 20" x 1.75-2.125". Her tires are 20x2.35".

I ordered a set of Mr. Tuffy Liners.

The official website and the cardboard/an image I found online don't agree on color/sizing. I have green which is what the website recommended, and they are wider than the yellows.

The Mr. Tuffy Liners effectively made the tire size smaller where the tube was concerned, at least a .1 reduction, possibly a .2. I inflated the tires to 60 PSI, great for my light weight daughter, no lumps or bumps. Since there aren't any Slime tubes that cover 20x2.235 this fix worked out rather well. I still have the factory tubes, but I've put so much trust in Slime tubes it's worth it. I have bought the liquid slime for her older 18" BMX, but I'm taking a guess the factory installed stuff is better. This is merely an instinctual guess, not a known fact.

Be careful. If the slime works to prevent punctures, it is a good idea. We will see. Generally, after the installation mess, it does the job.
