4.0 out of 5 stars Slim indeed
This is a great product.

I managed to get all of the same things into it that I had carried in my old wallet, except three cards (which I learned I don't really need) and one of those was practically a business card, so not very thick. Even so, my full ViewSlimmy is even thinner than my old wallet empty.

Now I can carry my wallet and my cell...

1.0 out of 5 stars Not a wallet for everyday use

Well gee, I guess I'm not a Genius, Artist, or an Innovator (or a "G.A.I." as stated in the oh-so-"clever" and not at all condescending product description) as the ViewSlimmy wallet was completely useless to me for day to day activities. I take it that G.A.I.s don't have a need for such bourgeois items as an auto-club card, driver's license, health insurance card,...

This is a great product.

I managed to get all of the same things into it that I had carried in my old wallet, except three cards (which I learned I don't really need) and one of those was practically a business card, so not very thick. Even so, my full ViewSlimmy is even thinner than my old wallet empty.

Now I can carry my wallet and my cell phone in the same front pocket and my iPod in the other.

My only problem is that I keep my metro pass in the view window so that I can flash it when needed, but anytime I need to take it out - say, to use in a turnstile - it's a pain because it's so securely stuck in there.

5.0 out of 5 stars This wallet is almost life changing, November 18, 2010

So my review title might be a bit extreme, but I absolutely love this wallet. I was walking around with the "Costanza" half-a-cow wallet in my pocket and it was starting to drive me insane. I made the switch to this fella and I can't say enough about it.

Right now I have my ID and my employee ID card in the visual pocket. I have 2 bank cards and my credit card in the first pocket, I have about 8 paper bills in the middle pocket, and I have my medical insurance, prescription insurance, and AAA emergency card in the last pocket. That's 8 cards plus a decent little roll of bills and the wallet still feels very slim and light.

This fits into my front pocket right next to my cell phone, or can occupy a pocket of its own and barely take up any space at all.

My biggest concern when I bought this was that my money or cards would slip out. I'm happy to say that I've had absolutely no trouble with that. The cards are held in firmly by the friction of the wallet itself, whether you've got 1 or 5 in a pocket.

I can't say enough about this product, it's perfect for every-day needs and a lot easier to carry around than a 3 inch binder of cards I hardly ever use.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love it!!, January 7, 2009

I absolutely love this wallet. I had checked out a bunch of other wallets but ended up going with this one. I am not sorry at all that I did.

I travel a lot so I wanted something with a very thin form factor but also where I have easy access to my driver's license.

I have packed a lot of credit cards along with my work's KeyScan access card into this and it is still thin. Credit cards are easy to remove and insert back in.

It is a nice, quality wallet and I highly recommend it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Front pocket wallet wonder, March 16, 2011
This review is from: View Slimmy® Thin Front Pocket ID Wallet
If you keep your wallet in your front pocket like me, this wallet is a godsend. Bulky items in the front pockets are really bothersome and this wallet solves that problem.
If you are a back pocket wallet guy, it keeps the bulk down and doesn't allow your wallet to grow to George Costanza-like proportions. Your spine will thank you.
Either way, if you are a bare-essentials wallet person, this is the wallet you want. Mine is still going strong after a couple years.

5.0 out of 5 stars It is a great SMALL wallet for the front pocket, October 22, 2008

I have had the view slimmy for almost two years and have adopted to it fairly well. I do like carrying a wallet in my front pocket and I like that the slimmy philosophy of carrying only what you truly need, helping me to reduce what I carry. I carry my drivers license, health insurance card, one blank check, two business cards, two credit cards and usually 5 to 7 bills. It will take a little while for the wallet to open up a little bit and then everything works fairly well.

Postives: Small, well built, id visible, holds all I need, front pocket wallet.

Negatives: Price, reaching for the wallet while seated is more difficult in the front pocket, and you will be surprise how much this happens; especially in the car. The id doesn't completely show but most clerks are ok with it.

I was a little skeptical at first just how securely this would hold cards. Basically I just wanted a secondary id wallet, and this functions well as that. If you wedge cards down far enough they don't really fall out unless you are intentionally shaking it hard. They can fall out though, but if you don't go out of your way to do so, they probably won't, provided you don't cram too much in.

I purchased this for my husband and he loves it! Each section holds his credit cards, money and ID securely and it is thin enough to fit in his pocket without buldging like traditional wallets. What a wonderful product!

This is a nice wallet for those with only 4 or 5 credit cards + and ID. More than that and it becomes pretty unusable. The wallet is well constructed and definitely small. If you're able to get your wallet item count that low, it's a great choice.

If this product was 1/8" longer and 1/8" wider, it would hold credit cards and ID better. This product holds 1 less credit card than my previous FPW. This one appears to be sturdier than my previous choice (Dopp Regatta 88 Series), which fell apart in less than six months. Hopefully this one will last better!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Birthday gift right before Christmas, January 7, 2012

Out of all my gifts during the Holidays, this I use the most and has worked well. Cards stay secure. ID shows clearly through the window. Quality leather, appropriate in any situation.
